"Alright, you two behave, don't get into trouble," Charlene said as Rachel and Cynthia started out the next morning. Rachel slung her backpack over her shoulder. "Try not to get lost, okay?"
"Its Okay Ms. Covkas, I know the way," Cynthia said with a chuckle. "I'll take care of your daughter just fine."
She gave Rachel a wink, causing her to blush a bit. The two of them were walking to the university campus together, it wasn't that far of a walk, so it wasn't that bad. Rachel smiled as she looked over at Cynthia, the redhead smiling back as they walked along. Rachel could see a few people either walking or working in their yards. Some of them waved at her, she could smell that some of them were weres, but others were just regular people. The weres felt normal too to her, they were people too, like she was.
"So, there's a Werecat pride that's a sorority?" Rachel asked, looking over at Cynthia. "How does that work exactly?"
"It's a bit more complicated than that," Cynthia said with a light chuckle. "It started as a sorority after some werecats came together, and it has a very if you're a member you're a member for life thing. You don't have to be part of the sorority to join it, but the pride has taken on its name because it's where they started. They're a fun group of Werecats, and are always welcoming of new women who come to the university or just to town in general."
"They sound nice, do you know them well?" Rachel asked.
"More second hand information," Cynthia admitted. "But there's a werecat in the dorm who's girlfriend is part of the pride."
"How many other prides are there around Moon Lake?"
"A few, each of them kind of do their own thing depending on what their interests are," Cynthia said as she thought about the rest of the Prides. "Anything more you want to know?"
"Lets see..." Rachel said.
