"I wish that this had never happened!" Bill roared in anger.
Green-gold light exploded from Bill's clenched fist, blinding him. He heard the twin screams of Gloria and Tammy but they vanished almost instantly, fading away to silence. He couldn't see anything, he couldn't speak, but Bill had the strange feeling that things were changing around him, and a peculiar sense of everything being..rewound?
And then reality blasted back into shape around Bill as the blinding light turned out to simply be the morning sun rising over the trees. The birds were singing, the weather was pleasantly warm and the last few banks of fog hugged the ground as they were slowly evaporated by the sun.
Bill jumped upwards in alarm, spinning around and finding himself back on his front porch. He checked his watch, his grandfather's present to him reading 7:32AM. The sounds of his mom, dad and to his relief, his little sister Kimberly coming from beyond the screen door that led into his house. And Willow was nowhere to be found.
The enormity of what just happened hit Bill like a sack of bricks, and he had to lean against the porch railing for a moment.
"Did...did I really just travel back in time?" Bill asked himself quietly. And then he spotted it. The stone that had caused everything was sitting in the exact position it had been before Bill had picked it up in the former timeline. All the chaos it had caused in just a few short moments. It had only been in his life for twenty minutes and in that time it had changed himself, his best friend, his best friend's ex into middle-aged adults. It turned his best friend into his wife, it had created a entire new reality in which he was a father. And then once again changing everything to where he was born to different parents, his best friend was his girlfriend, and his daughter from the future was now his older sister. And now a grand reset.
All that caused by a tiny gemstone, smaller than the palm of his hand. Bill suddenly realized he was reaching for the stone once more and pulled his hand away. Everything could easily go wrong all over again.
"HEY BILL!" Came a voice, and Bill looked up to see...
