Alexandra sighed, she was wet in multiple different ways and just felt all around gross and exposed. Once she was cleaned up, dressed, and hopefully found something to eat trying to figure out this device would be much easier.
Since she was the one who had turned the terrible thing on, she was mostly sure that her current state wasn't anyone's evil plot against her. But considering she had managed to accidentally fry her phone a few moments earlier, her options for help were currently limited to those found in Tatiana's daycare. While she wasn't necessarily opposed for asking for their assistance, her earlier attempt to talk made her nervous.
No, at least for the moment it was better to see if she could slip in and out unseen. Hopefully she could figure out the device quickly once she was back and then she'd never have to worry about being mistaken for a gibberish spouting toddler.
But before that she could at least clean up a bit here. Since she wasn't currently tall enough to easily make use of the sinks, the mysterious water tank seemed like a safer bet. Using the currently massive pajama shirt as an improvised washcloth, she dipped it into the water and did her best to clean her face first then the irritated skin around her lower extremities.
After drying herself off using a blanket, she already felt much better. Alexandra made her way through the bedroom easily enough, though her steps were a bit less stable than before due to the now very wet floors. Steeling herself as she approached the door, Alexandra ran into an immediate problem, she couldn't reach the door lever.
Leaning against the door for support, she pulled herself to the very tips of her toes and...nope. The handle sat frustratingly beyond her reach, the revelation was hard for Alexandra to grasp. Her brief time at 4 confirmed that even tiny children can easily open doors, but now a closed door was an almost impossible obstacle?
Almost being the key word as it turned out. After some awkward finagling, she managed to hook the handle with an umbrella. Once that was done operating the handle was as simple as letting herself fall gently on her butt. The lever slid down and a backwards scoot managed to pull the door open. Hurrying forward at a crawl, she pushed a shoe into the doorway leaving just enough room for her to squeeze through.
She dragged the umbrella along as she worked her way down the stairs. By the time she found herself once again at the back entrance to the daycare, Alexandra was already worn out, but determined to see her mission end better this time around. She repeated her procedure with the umbrella and tried to pull the handle down.
