Jeff opened his groggy eyes at the noise of clattering silverware. Was someone in the house!? He should be alone! He looks to his computer, wondering if he should change back from his little brother or not before checking it out? No, he didn't want to ruin the emersion.
Heart pounding, Jeff wondered if he'd inherited his little brother's shy and jumpy nature when he became his clone. How much of personality was biological vs psychological? Riley couldn't muster up the currage to give a class presentation, nor watch a scary scene in a movie.
He felt his young hands trembling as he reached for the door. For the unknown. Whoever was in the living room was making a lot of noise.
Peeking around the corner, Jeff's eyes went wide. Or more accurate, Riley's cute blue eyes went wide. There was a masked man trashing the living room. From the quick look Jeff got, he was a well built, somewhat tall man in a belaclava. A burglar!
Jeff hurried back to his own room. Maybe a bit too hastily. The floorboards creaked, alerting the intruder.
Once back in his room, Jeff quicky went to his computer to change himself back. Or should he make himself bigger and stronger than normal? Or should he try to scan the burglar? He cancelled the timer for turning back to himself after the weekend, and began to set it to turn him back now. In his haste, he may well have done several things wrong. But even so, he wasn't fast enough.
Before he could click accept on anything, the burglar burst in through the bedroom door and grabbed the boy.
"Trying to rapport me? Calling for help?" He dragged Jeff out of the chair and away from the computer. "Not gonna happen." The big man easily picked Jeff's, or more accurately Rilay's little body off the ground with just one hand.
"Where's your parents, kid?" the masked man demanded.
"Th...they're away..." Jeff squeaked in fear. He felt so helpless in this man's grasp. The hand holding him in the air was immovable. Struggling helped nothing, but seemed to greatly amuze the burglar.
"Good. And where's the safe?" the thief demanded.
"What safe?" Jeff asked.
"Don't play dumb with me. Big houses like this often have a safe somewhere. Where is it!?"
"I... I don't know. We don't have one..." Jeff tried to explain, tears welling up at the corners of his eyes.
"If you're going to be like that..." The burglar looked Jeff up and down with hungry eyes. "I'll make you talk."
Giving Jeff's room a quick once over, he didn't find anything of interest other than the computer and a certain box of forbidden toys and tools under the bed. He'd come back and steal the computer once he'd finished "interrogating" the boy.
He carried Jeff into Riley's bedroom, naturally assuming it was Jeff's, and dropped him onto the anime themed bedding. The box was under the burglar's other arm. Jeff recognized it unmistakably as his own box of kinky toys.
