Jeff quickly turned off the alarm as he got up.
It was 6am and today was the day he would see where Cleos fitness is.
The two of them met up at the fountain as they revised what was happening.
Jeff will be riding alongside Cleopatra when cycling the 90km and jogging the 21km run while watching from the shore for the 2km swim.
In other words a 1/2 Ironman triathlon.
"Are you ready to go Cleo?" Jeff asked with her smirking at her nickname responding "Yeah I'm ready."
"In that case 3, 2, 1, GO" he called.
With that Cleo went to the edge of the lake near the house and started swimming in 1/2 km laps.
Jeff keeping a eye on the stopwatch, taking notes of her swimming.
When Cleo got back to shore she towelled herself off to start riding her bike, Jeff keeping pace for the distance.
Going up and down the hills he kept track of the speeds and distances.
When the two of them got to the designated marker they placed their bikes in a rack.
Jeff scrambled not to drop his iPad as he had to catch up to a straining Cleo.
The two of them finally managed to make it to the finish line back at the house, panting heavily.
"So, how did I go Jeff?" Cleo panted practically inhaling the water bottles, water spilling onto her sports gear.
Jeff looked up the previous race times last night, looking at his iPad and the stopwatch time he started scrolling.
"Give it to me straight Jeff, how did I run?" asked a nervous Cleo.
"At a time of 7 hours 8 minutes, last year you would have come 286th of 500 last year.
Lets see if by the competition we can push you to 25th" Jeff explained.
At her stunned look you responded "You asked me to come over as a friend and trainer. Now lets have lunch for we start training tomorrow"
In the afternoon you returned to your room to plan out the training, the Chronivac in the back of your bag but the front of your mind.
