Miles couldn't believe it. there was a massive library behind the staircase. it was filled with books from every genre. he was standing in the middle of a huge reading area. 'guess the old man really liked to read' he said as he glanced about.
The teen glanced at the books. "well unless there is a secret passageway out of here then I'm going to examine these things" he said as he browsed the books. his first stop was the mystery genre section. he picked an odd one called Time to Change.
looking at the rest he saw they were all like this. there were no descriptions or authors. 'did that guy write these things?' Miles thought as he moved on. next, he went to action-adventure and searched its shelf. he soon found a book called The Adventure of Jessica Smith. he then picked a book from the next genre.
it was the biography of Charles McHenry himself. next, he picked a historical fiction of a man trapped in the age of the dinosaurs. the title was 'dawn of a new time'. the teen almost yelled as the next bookshelf suddenly collapsed. picking up a surviving book let him realize the irony.
the bookshelf was for the horror genre. the book in question was called the monster in You. As he approached the next shelf he heard a crunching sound. looking down he saw instead of the carpeted floor was a dirt road. this led to the Western genre bookshelf.
a little uneasy about this he grabbed the first book he saw and walked to the other side of the library. he saw the book he grabbed was about a town called Posun. he went and picked a book from the romance section. he struggled to get it in his pack due to the others. so he went to the nearest desk and dumped his books there.
he placed 'Love forevermore' on the table as well. Going back to the next shelf he checked it out. he saw it was his favorite fantasy. he picked up a weird-titled book called 'loquere verba intus ad recludam intus creaturam'. if he had known Latin he would have known it said 'Speak the words inside to unlock the creature within'.
he was then surprised to find the science fiction section covered 3 bookshelves. he then picked 'a series of fantastical discoveries' and put it with the rest. he even found a children's section full of cartoon books. he took one called the inky truth. he then sat down in one of the seats. he then spread them out to decide which to read first.
