the moment Miles opened the book he was caught with a faceful of spores. he thought the book was clean when he grabbed it. he coughed as much of the rainbow powder out as he could. once he was able to breathe he stared at the book once again. he suddenly became interested in reading it again.
"...the talisman was lying in front of him. Surely this would be a discovery for the ages. he picked it up when he had a thought. "wish I could see the history of this place. I mean with all the dinosaur bones in the area this must have been quite a place" he said not realizing the talisman started to glow." the teen stopped reading when he heard a noise.
this noise came from the greenhouse. 'probably Spike hanging with his plant buddies. with that he sat back down. " the archaeologist shut his eyes as the object grew brighter and brighter. when he opened his eyes he was surprised."
"before his eyes was a prehistoric jungle. the excavation sight nowhere to be seen" The teen kept reading as Steve had finished his bread in the dining room. "...at first he was amazed by this primitive vegetation. however, he soon heard a horrible roar. he quickly climbed the first tree he saw."
"below him was a Tyrannosaurus rex." at this point, he heard running water overhead. 'who could be using water in an abandoned manor?' he thought. Continuing on with his story he read "The archaeologist now crept around this ancient land."
"he realized his wish had come true in a way. he could see all the dinos who had left their bones. it was like all of pre-history was here. he's seen a Dilophosaurus and a Baryonyx from behind some trees. he was almost eaten by a utahraptor."
"he was thankful he knew how to zigzag. he did find some nicer dinosaurs. he fed some leaves to a Brontosaurus. he saw a mom and baby triceratops getting some water. he then heard a roar and ran. he eventually came across a cave."
"in this cave, he survived and lived till he passed away. the end" Miles finished. he didn't even hear Zach howling upstairs as he exclaimed "Man that was definitely not a bet seller. I mean all it did was list a few dinos. also, why is it so big if it's as long as a children's book." the sandy-brown teen flipped through the blank pages.
about halfway through he found a talisman. it had a rainbow flower image at its center. for some reason, he felt compelled to touch it. As he did a thought occurred to him. 'I could do a better story than this. heck, a could be a dinosaur and get better recognition than this book ever did. suddenly the talisman grew brighter just like in the story.
