Mark had now confirmed that she did indeed have some special powers, so while Eva(n) stood gaping at the change which had just befallen her, Mark grabbed the necklace and flitted off to try and fix the situation. Landing in a clump of bushes a few hundred feet away, she settled on a twig and pondered how to resolve the situation. Obviously, if a wish made with the necklace could turn her into a fairy, a wish made with the necklace could change her back, right? "I wish," she said, clutching the chain, "that I were a normal human guy again."
Nothing happened.
She tried again. It didn't work. It seemed that wishes made with the necklace could not be reversed. Mark remembered her powers and focused them on herself, trying to bring herself back to normal. Her hair returned to its normal brown color and short length, and the points on her ears disappeared, but nothing else happened. It seemed that either her powers couldn't be used to change herself into something besides a fairy, or that they couldn't be used to reverse a wish made with the necklace. She hung her head and pondered what to do.
