Back at the Fedorov house Gareth's parents had arrived. They were at the door demanding to know what had happened to their son. Agent Bradbury was embarrassed to have had to address them in her borrowed swimsuit but there had been no opportunity to shower and change.
The angry parents relayed how they had gone to the hospital to see their son, as per the call from the FBI (Amelia was happy she had not made that call) only to find the hospital denying that their son was a patient. Gareth had not returned during the night. Where was he? It turned out the school had directed them to the Fedorov house.
To make matters worse she had gained an audience. She realised that quite a few of the bikini clad girls had come to see what the commotion was about. Amelia had no idea whether Gareth was one of the onlookers. She tried to calm the parents down and after a nod from Selena invited them inside. She dreaded the thought of having to tell the parents what had happened.
"Can we please go to my temporary office and I will try and explain what has happened" She was relieved when Selena handed her a beach wrap so she could cover her obviously pregnant body.
The parents calmed down temporarily and took seats. "Gareth was involved in a an incident at the school yesterday. He was one of a number of students and staff at the school who came in contact with a mysterious artefact which physically affected him"
"Where is he? Why did we get sent to the wrong hospital?"
"You didn't get sent to the wrong hospital. Gareth was there, just enrolled under an incorrect name"
"We described our son to the nurses and security staff who wouldn't let us in but they denied our son was there" said the father, sounding angry once more.
"That's because Gareth no longer looks like himself. The artefact I spoke about changes the physical appearance of its, shall we say victims"
"What do you mean?" asked the Mother. "What has happened to Gareth?"
"Gareth was enrolled mistakenly as Ruby Donaldson. She is still Gareth inside but physically has become a copy of Ruby"
The father stood up in shock "What?!....What do you mean?"
"In this house we currently have 7 Ruby Donaldson's. One of them is Gareth"
Just then the office door opened. 3 of the Ruby's walked in. "Perhaps we can explain" said the girl in a red bikini. "Hello Gary. Hello Megan. Believe it or not I'm Kim Jacobs. I'm another victim of the medallion. And I might introduce you to Julia Hastie our school Nurse" He indicated the girl in a skimpy black bikini. "And lastly" He indicated the girl wearing the school swimming suit. She had a towel wrapped around her waist. "Let me re-introduce you to Gareth"
"Mom, Dad" the girl came forward nervously and gave her shocked Mom a cuddle.
After a brief pause the red bikini girl suggested. "Perhaps we should leave you to get reacquainted" She ushered Julia and Amelia out of the room.
