"Hey, everybody. I'm Sophie and this is Roland, here in Dinosaur City."
"And today, we're featuring the newest feature here; Dinotopia's own BARA House." The camera spun around to reveal an apartment building in the faux-Stone Age style of Dino City. The word 'BARA' was carved over the door.
"And before anyone asks, there are no laws against people being gay in Texas," said Roland, "Maybe there's still discrimination, but no one is being forced to act they way they don't want to act."
"Not that I think anyone can force these guys to do anything they don't want to," said Sophie. The camera showed several of the new residents of the BARA House. There was actually a rather even blend of herbivores and carnivores. There were some sauropods and hadrosaurs along with raptors and theropods.
"And we'll have a quick interview with the chapter head here," said Roland. The camera moved slightly to the side to reveal that Sophie and Roland were standing next to a tyrannosaur. "Oh like you didn't see this coming," said Roland.
"So you went for the king of dinosaurs, eh?" asked Sophie.
"Well, if you mean king of dinosaurs in the Jurassic Period, yes," said the theropod, "Notice the horns? The less obvious feathers? Allosaurus. You can call me Big Al."
Roland sighed and said, "Well, I suppose it was inevitable that someone would use that name with that species."
"So, Big Al, why did they make you chapter head?" asked Sophie.
"Also, chapter head? What sort of organization is BARA?" asked Roland.
"Well, I just happen to a natural talent for leadership," said Big Al, "And BARA is a democratic organization for starters. I was fairly elected to be chapter head. And, well, I wouldn't call us an order like the Shriners or anything. But let's say that we're a national fraternity for those who...want to still be identified as gay, but has a place where they can express their built-up desires. I'm sure there are plenty of ladies who are willing to help us adjust."
"Speaking of ladies," said Sophie, "Word is that the whiptails are going to also get their own apartment here as their, uh, sorority grows. Would you welcome them as neighbors?"
"I don't see why not," said Big Al, "But I don't think they can expect us to help them with any, uh, fertilizing."
"So, are there going to be more, er, chapter houses for BARA?" asked Roland, "Like at Mesozoic Enclave?"
"There should be," said Big Al, "It's kinda surprising they set up a BARA House here first. But I'm sure there are plenty of Texans who will want to join. We've got plenty of room for them now."
"Well, that's all for now," said Sophie, "Join us next time when we show the official opening of Mesozoic Enclave."
"And keep watching to see more of the IAC and all the events connected to it," said Roland.
