“Conner, I—” John cried, about to plead desperately with his once younger brother, before he was cut off.
“I know that this used to belong to you, John.” Conner stated matter-of-factly, twirling the device in his hands. “I thought it was bizarre that you would have my package in the first place, and it was even weirder when you somehow weren’t affected by the reality change option, so that’s when I checked the device log.”
“Please, Conner, just give me back the Chronivac. I’ll let you stay 18, I promise.”
“Let me? John, I don’t think you understand the position you’re in here.” Conner laughed, amused at the boy’s gall. “I was 13 not even 30 minutes ago, and now I’m a man! I’m about to go to college! And I can do anything I want when I’m there, as long as I have this. Why would I give it back?”
“Because you know it’s supposed to be mine!” John shouted indignantly. “You even said you checked the log, so you know I used it first!”
Conner scoffed. “Pfff, yeah, and the first thing you did was turn yourself into a little boy! Why would you do that, and why would you change reality to match that?! You’ve gotta be some kinda stupid.”
John was fuming. Why should he have to explain himself to the kid who only discovered masturbating 2 months ago?! As it turned out, being 8 meant that John’s control over his emotions was not a luxury afforded to him yet, so he leapt forward, lunging at Conner and grabbing for the Chronivac.
The young man merely pushed the boy aside, knocking him to the floor with a thud, and raised his hand out of John’s reach.
“Wow, you’re such a child, Johnny. I guess you were right to make yourself one. Now your body matches your brain!”
“Give it back, Conner!” John screeched.
“Nah, I think I’m gonna test out some different buttons on this thing,” he responded jovially, clicking and swiping through various menus on the screen. Then, he pointed the device at John.
Still on the floor, John felt a sudden chill, seeing suddenly that his clothes, save for his briefs, had vanished.
“Ha! You can check and uncheck the boxes for specific clothing items on your target. Neat!” Conner mused.
“Conner, change me back, dammit!” John demanded as seriously as he could in his treble pitch command.
“See, now that’s maybe something I can do for you, as long as you’re not asking for this beauty back.” Conner continued aiming the device at John.
Within seconds, Conner felt the familiar shift of his body’s proportions but in a different way. He couldn’t believe that Conner was actually granting his request! John rose from the floor to survey his body in Conner’s mirror as the changes took place, as his manhood was restored to him. His beanpole legs and twiggy arms grew modestly, as did the rest of his frame. The youthful glow in his eyes and the baby fat in all his features faded slightly as he entered teendom. His tighty-whities gained a gray hue as the leg bands descended down his thighs, transforming the juvenile undergarments into a pair of boxer-briefs, emblematic of John’s early teen years. Then, the changes stopped. Left surveying his new form, John surmised that he couldn’t be any older than 13.
“Conner, what?! You said you were gonna turn me back!” John spat, his voice cracking mid-sentence.
“And I did,” he replied. “I turned you back into a teenager. You’re welcome..”
Once again roused by his brother’s taunting, John, feeling more confident and stronger in his newly mature body, lunged a second time at John, the older brother’s height advantage not as stark this time around. In a burst of teenage fury, John leapt up and smacked the Chronivac out of Conner’s hand, landing it safely on the queen size bed.
Immediately, the two brothers darted for the device, scrambling over each other and throwing hands as they desperately fought for the awesome power the device offered.
