The three women sat around a table in the bookstore looking at the two dice. One was close to Sharon while the other was close to Nicole and Alice.
"Grab your Dice . . ." Sharon didn't know the assistants name and barely knew Alice's. The Thirty-Nine Year old looked at Nicole. Nicole and Alice looked at each other and then Nicole picked up the Dice. Sharon's mouth barely moved like she was counting under her breath until a Voice was heard by all three saying the Dice was Nicole's.
"It's Nichole and what are you doing?" Nicole held the dice carefully.
Sharon smirked slightly. The reduction of her age apparently had tempered her bitchiness just a bit. "Counting how long it was between you picking up the dice and the dice accepting you. It seems to vary for some reason. Next test, Roll the Dice."
"What? I'm not going to. . ." Nicole was surprised when Alice interrupted her.
"Please do it. It feels like nothing you've ever felt before and you're older than either of us."
"Fine." A very gentle roll revealed a '3'.
"Nichole Roberts. Forty-Six years you have walked the Earth, now that number is but forty-three." Lights appeared around her as the years came off of her. In moments it was done with a bit of grey gone from her hair along with a few wrinkles.
Sharon nodded. "That was quick. Now we need to know at least one more important issue. Two actually. Does moving the dice from one hand to the other count as a roll and does sliding the dice count as a roll?"
Nicole was more uncertain but could see why Sharon was asking these questions.
"I'll move the dice from one hand to the other if you slide your dice."
Sharon nodded and the two women did so.
Nicole's Dice came up as a '5'. Forty-three years you have walked the Earth, now that number is but thirty-eight." Nicole gasped slightly as the sensation came back as the lights appeared around her. Alice looked at her friend as she left her forties behind. Wrinkles completely disappeared and her hair started to seem a bit fuller. Nicole's figure firmed up slightly as she regained a bit of fitness she had lost from age.
Sharon's Dice came up as a '4'. "Thirty-Nine Years you have walked the Earth, now that number is but thirty-five." Sharon saw a bit of her reflection in the table glass as she went from nearly forty to her mid-thirties. She shifted a bit uncomfortable as her figure firmed up and ten pounds was lost.
