After the talk with the others Marco got back into the car and turned to Ruby "I think it's time to get you back to your mother until we get this straitened out."
Kurt thought for a sec, if she was sent to this woman's place she might never get a chance at the medallion. Then she remembered the talk she had with her, it seems this girls mother know that Nikola had been changed into this form so she decided to play as if she had authority and said "My father is in hiding and there are only two people that know where he is so I'm staying here until you find the briefcase, or at lest the medallion. So you can take me to a motel for the night while we wait to hear from the search parties."
Marco looked her in the eyes "Nikola would never forgive me if something happened to you."
Kurt interrupted him "Only my mother and me know where Nikola is so when you find the medallion you will give it to me so I can get it to him. If you don't believe me call my mother and see what she says."
Kurt was bluffing but still had hope to pull this off even if Marco called Ruby's mother.
