Kaida knelt down at her lower level locker, easily fumbling through the combination until it swung open, inside hung pictures of super heroes both American and Anime, ever since she was a kid she had a fascination with them. Now she had been bitten by a ( non radioactive ) wolf, she had powers of her own, and she was going to live out her fantasy to the fullest. Which first meant grabbing her sketch book along with her first period math and second period science books.
Ready to go, she glanced over at Anna, her locker buddy and pack mate to find her struggling to reach the top of her upper level locker. She felt her heart sink seeing her close if not best friend go from Human Alpha, to Wolf Delta, but that is how things were, and all of them had to get used to the new changes. "Here." She reached up and brough the text book down for Anna. "I don't know why you had to put your books up so high."
"I wanted my make up and mirrors to be at the bottom, and until last night I had no problem reaching them." Anna scoffed, holding the text book to her non existent chest.
"You know I thought your fur was the prettiest last night.." A warmth filled Kaida's cheeks as they walked to first period Math, it was the truth and she thought maybe her words would give Anna a bit of a self confidence boost. "I wouldn't mind seeing it again, maybe after lunch we could practice changing, somewhere safe and quiet..." She whispered as the two took their desks. While the other students took out their math books and began to take notes, Kaida secretly opened her art book and began to scribble costume ideas. A swimsuit wouldn't do, they were way too young for a bikini, and a leotard would need a tail hole. Her mind was awash in ideas until....
"KAIDA Please come up here and answer this problem." The teacher bellowed.
Sheepishly Kaida rose from her chair and put down her pencil, she tried to keep from making eye contact with any student, especially Anna as she made the long walk of shame to the board. She began to do the calculations in her head as her hand picked up the chalk, shaking a bit. Eight, and then one, and then that left a remainder...
"Very good Kaida." The teacher grabbed her hand, for a moment they locked eye contact, his eyes flashing a predatory gold color for barely a second before returning to their normal brown. "Remember that you are not the only one here, and at this school, you are on my territory." His voice took on a threatening edge before letting her go.
