Mina's heart beat fast as she almost glided through first period. Being taller, more developed, she got looks from all the boys and girls, and most in a good way. Boys, she sensed, eyed her for her beauty, and girls, well, much the same but from a different perspective. Her heart fluttered to think that others considered her this way when she was once one of the youngest of her former group, now pack. Now, she was probably the most developed in her school, and she felt stronger, more assured of herself. Though being human had its disadvantages. She wanted to run, to hunt, to be free in her fur. Human clothes felt constraining, and she missed the feel of dirt and grass beneath her bare paws.
Some of her friends noticed the change, and yet there was a strange sort of aura that prevented too much questioning, as if this were normal or she'd always been this way. Questions in class, of course, didnt come any more easy. She still struggled in some subjects and did well in the things she enjoyed. At lunch, she found herself drawn more to meat dishes than veggies or anything else, and unlike before when she used to sit alone, she found a group of others to sit with. It wasn't the same as sitting with her pack...but it at least made her feel less alone without them.
