“Come on Rick. It’s only fair, I’m the one who brought it and set it up” said Max as the twins struggle over who uses the laptop first, refusing to give it up.
"Boys!" They see their mom Lauren at standing at the doorway, looking annoyed. "You’re going to be late for school,” said Lauren as she grips the laptop. Max did not have time to exit out of the program before his mother pulled the laptop away.
"What is this?" Lauren asks as she skims the open page.
"Um..." Both Ricky and Max utter. Ricky was quicker to think of an excuse, "A sci-fi profile maker. Max and I were going to play as ourselves."
Max's palms began to sweat. He had expected his mother to just close the laptop, but she was browsing through their profiles. "Uh... please be careful with our profiles mom. It took us a lot of time to create them." he tried to say calmly.
"Boys... penis length. This seems grossly inappropriate." Lauren gawks at their profiles. She clicked on something, and laughed lightly out loud. "Too bad this is only fictional. Sometimes I wish you two got along like you used to when you were younger." She smiled as if looking at a fond memory in her mind's eye. "Remember when you did fight... I used to put you both in your get along shirt." Max glanced at his brother worriedly. Ricky had a matching troubled look.
"Um... yeah. I remember not liking that shirt," Ricky answered.
Lauren clicked on a few things, and the said with a wink, "Done. Saved both of your profiles."
Max blinked. Everything was different in an instant. "What?" the word escaped his lips as a whisper. He noticed right away that his clothes were also different.
He was wearing a Slate Blue tank top with black pants, white ankle socks, black shoes.
His eyes widened when he realized his clothes had not just changed. A chill ran up his spine when his left hand rotated seemingly on its own. His head whipped around to the left, nearly bumping into his twin who was now much closer.
"Uh... Max." Ricky whispered with a look of shock on his face. "Did mom just..."
"Yeah..." Max answered back in a whisper. Their mom had unintentionally made them a whole lot closer than mere identical twins. They are a two-headed boy.
"Uh... mom." Max says. "I think we learned our lesson. Can we have the laptop back?"
Their mother turned to look at them. Her face held no sign that she realized what she had done, meaning that her awareness on the program was still turned off.
"Sorry boys. You need to get ready for school," Lauren takes the laptop while leaving her conjoined twin sons to finish getting ready.
"Well... it did changed our lives..." Max said with a forced grin to his now conjoined twin brother, who is slightly annoyed.
