Margaret and Lisa walked into the field, behind them were a few people, not many but all of them seemed to have either odd hair color or eyes. Robert was already standing in the middle of the field with a few more behind him. Some of the people with him also had noticeable changes, but other's looked completely the same. The one thing that they did have in common was that they were all from the club.
Margaret and Lisa walked up to Robert and Gregg came up along side them. Lisa looked around the crowd.
"Why did you bring some of the people who haven't changed?" She asked him.
"Most of the people at the school treated me as if I had always looked this way so I just brought them here too."
"So do you know what's going on?" Margaret asked.
"Not anything that makes sense. What about you?"
"Everyone we've asked has no idea." Gregg told him.
"We need to figure it out quick if we're going to know what we're dealing with." Lisa commented.
"We can't figure anything out if we don't know where to start." Margaret said.
"Maybe it's supposed to be a gift." Gregg suggested. "Maybe we're better off this way."
"We can't assume anything." Lisa responded. "For all you know this could be some strange virus that's slowly killing us from the inside."
"We're not getting anywhere. Let's just take a break do some research and reconvene if we find anything." Robert said, rejoining the conversation.
"Yeah, we can't do anything just talking about how we don't know what it is." Margaret said. "While we're here without any rides, we might as well talk about what to add to our werewolf idea."
"Yeah, I was thinking that maybe we could say that they're considered 'pups' until they turn 18." Gregg said.
"Okay and maybe once they turn 18 they gain more strength and speed." Lisa said.
Everyone was joining in on the conversation now, and Chris felt like he should make his presence known.
"Yeah and they can be able to use magic."
"No, I don't think they should be able to use magic, it might make them too perfect." Robert said.
The meeting went on for a while and no one noticed as Rick the school bully came towards them. Rick was 6'2" and weighed at least 235 pounds. Though 16 years old he was still in the 7th grade.
"Well, if it isn't the geek patrol." He said using all the power in his 3 brain cells.
"Lay off Rick." Robert said.
"Oh, really." He said and pushed him.
Robert was getting really irritated and the only thing holding him back from a punch was the fact that Rick was almost twice his size and as early as the day before was probably more than twice his size.
Noticing that Robert wasn't going to fight back, Rick pushed him again harder this time. With a third push he almost knocked him to the ground but Robert wasn't backing down either now and quickly pushed back.
Rick tried to raise his hand into a fist but Robert struck quickly at his nose and felt the bone crack against his fist. Rick grasped at his nose as blood flowed in large amounts down his face. A school teacher came over and tended to Rick's nose and then turned to face Robert.
"Principal's office, now!"
Robert walked towards the school and into the principal's office. He wasn't going to let a possible suspension ruin the feeling of his victory.
The principal made the meeting short and Robert got off with only one day of suspension, but his father was not happy with his behavior as he took him to the car.
"What were you thinking, Robert? Just hitting him like that."
"He attacked me first, I was just fighting back."
"Look I know your a bit anxious to grow up right now but you've got to remember that you're still just a pup. When you turn 18 that will change and then you can do stuff on your own but for now you have to lay off the fighting, understand?"
Robert heard everything his father said but the one thing he said about being a "pup" was what got him, and he realized then that his wish must have come true.
