"Such as me, bother!" laughed a familiar voice. Rachel turned to see Prince Leviathan, Archduke of the Seventh Circle. The fish-like demon was wearing black leather pants and boots, and he wore an 18th-century style coat over his otherwise bare torso. He had a tricorner hat on his head and wore a cutlass on his belt.
On Leviathan's arm was his wife Sekhmet. The lioness-headed demon was dressed, if one would call it that, in a golden bikini top made of multiple layers of thin black cloth with edges of gold around her breasts. Her stomach was clearly visible. A pair of black-with-gold-trim harem pants covered her lower body as a lion tail moved behind her with ease. A small half cloak ran from her shoulders with the head of a golden lion over her right shoulder. Her makeup was of the style one would expect to see in ancient Egypt, which was where she had taken Leviathan to husband and ascended to demonhood.
"Good to see you again, Rachel!" Leviathan grinned. "I hope you enjoyed the party last night."
"It was an honor meeting you there," Sekhmet smiled.
"It was an honor to meet you, too, Hathor," Rachel smiled, using the English translation of Sekhmet's human name. "I also enjoyed meeting your sons and daughter-in-law."
"I hope you weren't bothered by Dagon's playful flirting," said Leviathan. "He's not serious. It's not like I raised another Jove."
"Jove?" asked Rachel.
"Prince Jove Caelestis," said Leviathan. "That's God's most troublesome son. He is utterly entitled and selfish. He was always envious of his brother Jesus, for one thing. When he heard about God's plan to send Jesus to redeem humanity be worshiped as a co-monarch of Heaven, Jove went to Greece and got nearly the entire Mediterranean worshiping him under such names as Zeus and Jupiter. (Princes of Heaven have many names.) Worse, he commanded his worshipers to kill the followers of Jesus once they got going."
"Jove is also a sleazy sex maniac," Sekhmet noted. "You've no doubt heard stories of his rapes and seductions in Greece. More recently, he started the Salem Witch Trials to get back at a woman who rejected him in favor of a Hellish duke."
"He's always in hot water with God," Leviathan added. "Even his brother Hermes isn't in trouble nearly as much. At least Hermes is only a good-natured prankster!"
"I'm pretty sure Dagon and Hermes sometimes sneak out of Hell and Heaven to hang out together on Earth," Sekhmet mused. "They became good friends at Charon and Remeila's wedding."
"I honestly can't say I mind," said Leviathan. "The old feud that the hardliners can't let go of is ludicrous."
"The one thing about the party that bothered me is that I spoke with the 'demons' that Cruciata told Baal and Michael about. You know, the ones who were secretly Iron Knights."
"Did you tell them any thing important?" Lucifer asked.
"Just stuff about the wedding," said Rachel. "Mom showed up and we told them about how it's a triple wedding between me and Maisy, Mom and Astaroth, and Josh and Penemue. I also think we mentioned Purgatory."
"I'll tell Charon to up the security," said Lucifer.
"Good idea," said Leviathan. "If you get married near the sea, Hathor and I will send some warships to patrol the waters."
"That's a promise," said Sekhmet, smiling at her husband for remembering her human name.
"Thanks, Uncle Leviathan," Maisy smiled.
