"Alright, tell me exactly what happened," A woman in her 30s dressed in a buttoned up shirt and khakis asked. She looked across the table at a pair of younger women who were looking a bit uncomfortable.
"You're... not going to tell anyone about this, are you?" One of them asked.
"The only people that will know about what happened to you is me and the other officers on the case," the Detective said, giving as much of a reassuring smile as she could. "We need to catch whoever did this to you."
"It's going to sound crazy though..." The second girl said.
"It's okay, Tanya, she's here to help us," the first one said, taking her hand.
"We need to know everything," the detective said. "I promise, I won't laugh at whatever you tell me. You can trust me, okay?"
The two young women exchanged a look. It was strange, but something about the scent coming from the female detective gave them a more reassuring feeling that she would be willing to listen. They took a deep breath, and Tanya becan to speak first.
"Last night, we were out with a few friends," she said. "It started out normal enough, but... when it got close to midnight, that's when things got weird. That's when me and Isabelle... well, we're the first ones who saw it."
-----
"What the fuck is that?" Tanya asked, gripping the arm of her friend Isabelle. The two of them were staring in shocked horror as what looked like a tall, bipedal wolf was stalking towards them. The wolf snarled at them, showing their teeth as he bounded after them. "Run!"
The two women started to run, looking around scared, they could see their friends up ahead, shouting to them to run. Their friends turned around and was about to say something when Dave, one of them let out a scream of pain. Tanya watched in horror as she realized that another one of the wolf creatures had bitten him. This one was definitely female as she looked at the friends, licking her blood soaked lips.
The friends started to run, everything had started to become a blur. Dave had fallen behind the rest of the group at some point. They could hear howls of wolves behind them as they were hunted like animals. Tanya grabbed Isabelle's hand and pulled her away as they could hear the wolves catching up to their friends. They ran as fast and as hard as they could.
"What the fuck is going on... what are those things?" Tanya asked as she looked over at her friend.
"I... I don't know... they looked like Werewolves..." Isabelle said. "But that's not possible."
The two ran through the forest,t trying to get back to town. The sounds of thewolves were getting closer and closer as they reached a clearing. Standing before them were two women that looked like cats. The sound of wolves stopped suddenly, as the two cat women pounced, the young women feeling claws and bites on their body as their clothes were ripped apart.
The two women felt their bodies be ravaged by the cat women. Tanya looked down at her hand and was horrified to see it starting to be covered with fur.
-----
"And... that's the last thing I remember before waking up," Tanya finished. "We were attacked by those, things in the forest, we found our friends and they were just as confused as we were."
"What happened to us?" Isabelle asked. "What were those things?"
"Your'e going to need some time for this," the detective said. "Alright, I will send another officer to speak with you. I will do everything I can to find out what happened to you, I promise."
The detective got up and headed to the door. She looked back at the two young women and sighed, she could smell the werecat on them. She didn't like this, it meant that more people had gotten attacked. This was getting worse and worse with every attack.
"They had the same story as the others," her partner commented as he looked over at her. "What do you think, Carol?"
"We have a series of were attacks on the rise in the woods, that's not good," Carol Juniper commented as she sighed. "The Chancellor's already mad about this, and if anyone else gets wind of it... we're under a ot of pressure to stop these attacks."
"Whoever is behind it is brazenly violatingi Statute 1-A, but why?" Her partner asked.
"I don't know," Carol said. "But now we've got werecats involved. I assumed it was just Werewolves, so it sounds like there's more to it than we knew about."
