The twins ended up agreeing that it would be better to spend the night in the cabin than to risk and drink that strange liquid.
"Excuse me ma'am, but my sister and I agreed to spend the night here," Thomas told the strange woman.
"Excellent. But first let me just warn you that there are only two rooms where one of you can sleep. Which of you wants to stay in the guest room?", the woman asked the twins.
"I, ma'am", Elizabeth told her as quickly as possible.
"Very well. In that case, you young man, follow me," the woman told Thomas.
At that moment, Thomas followed the strange woman to where he was supposed to sleep. And to his surprise, the room where he would be was the basement. This was full of extraordinary relics and there were even some cages where the lady kept some creatures, like a griffon or even a manticore. Although Thomas didn't think he was going to find a place to sleep here, he managed to find a wooden table where he proceeded to lie on it and began to rest.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was waiting for the woman to return and take her to her room. Luckily Elizabeth didn't have to wait long because the witch had finally returned.
"Excuse me, young lady, but I was a little busy. Now let me take you to the guest room", the witch said to Elizabeth.
Then the witch proceeded to take Elizabeth to the guest room. When they arrived, Elizabeth's jaw dropped. It wasn't a real guest room, but rather a baby's nursery. There was everything: a crib, a changing table, toys and stuffed animals everywhere, a rockin horse, a baby bouncer, etc.
"This is where you will sleep. Rest well," the witch told Elizabeth as she proceeded to slowly close the door.
"Wait, you really don't expect me to spend the night here do you? I don't even fit in the crib!" Elizabeth exclaimed before the witch closed the door.
"Ummm, you're right. But that can be easily fixed," the witch replied as she proceeded to take out her little wand again and tapped Elizabeth on the head.
Instantly, Elizabeth had been turned into a 1-year-old baby girl. She was now wearing a yellow onesie patterned with giraffes, little yellow socks and a diaper. Not to mention, she had little bows in her hair.
"Goo!?", Elizabeth said only to find out that she couldn't speak anymore. Meanwhile, the witch proceeded to lift the now baby Elizabeth off the floor.
"Awwww, Lizzy still can't talk? Don't worry, I'm sure in a few years you'll learn to do it", the witch coos, poking Lizzy's nose.
Eventually baby Lizzy was tucked into the crib with a snuggly baby blanket, a stuffed kitten, and a pacifier in her mouth.
"Sleep well, little one", the witch told her before proceeding to leave the nursery.
Although Lizzy tried hard not to fall asleep, the cozy blanket and the pacifier only ended up making her drowsier, and before long Lizzy was fast asleep.
The next morning, Lizzy would end up waking up first only to find out that not only was she still a baby…
