With the cosplay contests over, there wasn't as much focus on the convention, but that didn't mean it was now over. There were plenty of other events that "synergized" with the IAC in several ways, some more amusing/annoying than others.

Of course, another side effect of the furry convention was a "cosplay" contest, where characters "dressed up" as their favorite characters from movies, tv, video games, etc. This was held at the Meat Market due in no small part to both the convention being in Las Vegas this year, and the simple fact that many furry females were... "well-shaped" to say the least. Sometimes, however, this could end up with some rather unusual injuries.
One blue-eyed, model from Japan arrived from Japan for a very unusual conversion request as well as a very unusual condition, and not just her blue eyes.
"She tried to do WHAT?!?!" asked one Horizon agent in exasperation.
"She tried to tattoo the whites of her eyes black." answered his colleague. "While overall it was a success, and when her eyes swelled shut, she got the steroid drop treatment she needed quickly, she's still experiencing pretty blurry vision."
"And for that she wants to be a golden fox Animalian?!" asked the first, even more exasperated than before.
"Well, can you imagine one furry fox girl with, er..., 'black whites' in her eyes?" asked the second agent. At that, the first agent just collapsed face down on the desk, knowing all too well what the model wanted to be closer to.

As an indirect response to the IAC, Furcon, and Pride Month going on was the addition of the Herm Exposition, which often left people more confused coming out than going in, mainly because not many people outside of the herms of Animalia knew what being a herm was about. Nio had to miss this, not only because of the IAC MMA Tournament, but because she had to travel over to Mieni Atoll for the Bodybuilding Contest. Fortunately, she had enough foresight to record a video of her 'features' before said events.

The first Sunday of June was also when the next episode of When Worlds Collide... came out. During the last episode, the "new" Ring of Power had leapt onto Hide's hand and revealed its secret to him: it had the spirit/wraith of an Elf-Lord within it. However, the spirit had been dormant for so long that almost all of its memories were gone except for a fierce hatred of Sauron. At the end of the fight, with most of the Uruks killed, and the remnant driven off, Charles spotted something very odd lurking at the edge of a forest.
The latest episode dealt with the aftermath of the Uruk attack. When Charles described what he saw to Gandalf, Gandalf immediately knew who it was.
"It's Gollum." he said, much to everyone's surprise.
"Do you think he could be spying on us for Sauron?" asked King Louis, speculatively.
"No," answered Gandalf, "Frodo told me everything as we returned to Rivendell. It was he who guaranteed the destruction of the One Ring."
"So, what is he up to?" asked William.

There was also an update on the website that showed the "progress" of the new War against Sauron, a.k.a. WWIII. Everyone was surprised to see that Sauron had already seized Sicily and Vietnam. According to the "intel", the uruks had attacked Vietnam from the north, much to Vietnam's surprise, though they were able to scramble a resistance in a remarkably quick time.
Sicily, however, had been caught off guard by something nobody expected: the Uruks having a fleet of warships of their own, though calling them "warships" would be considered "insulting to all warships of the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries", as one commenter pointed out. The reason why Sicily was so crucial to Orc/Uruk success was quickly obvious: because of its position, the Uruks could easily attack anywhere in the Mediterranean Sea.

One thing that was bigger than expected was the arrival of a group of Muslims in Animalia for conversion. While there was still some resentment toward Muslims, the Rhino Guard made sure that the worst damage done were petty insults. Though why Muslims would be undergoing conversion was extremely confusing, though the explanation didn't seem to explain much.
Because of how few Muslim Animalians there were, nobody really knew what adjustments had to be made to Muslim religious policy. So, by allowing a group to convert, the Muslim religion would get the information they needed.
A similar lack of data had led to a deadlock on the debate in the Christian church on whether or not the celibacy rule should be considered optional for Animalians in the clergy. This was why a new group of Christian Nuns were allowed to convert, although most of them had chosen mares for their choices.

There was still plenty of IAC and Furcon to go, so everyone was looking forward to a few things, such as Sophie and Roland's coverage of the new Mesozoic Enclave and the arrival of the cruise liner that was being donated, especially since the renovations, and the docking cradle, were now finished.
