Animalians have an uncanny tendency to find their bond-mates rather quickly. Part of that was that at least one of the Animalians involved tend to be uplifted animals who have no preconceived notions to make them hesitant to spending the rest of their lives with someone they love. So it is rare for two former humans to fall in love and bond at first sight, but it has happened. And the most recent case of this was particularly noteworthy.

Silixera had a lot of adjustments to do after hir conversion. But becoming a four-armed herm cobra Animalian is a huge change for anyone. One of the things shi had to contend with is hir new sexual identity and the urges that came with it. As a trans man, shi wasn't really certain how shi felt about men or women, not sure if it would make hir bi or straight. But being both male and female threw those arguments right out the window. It was rather common for some people to work out their post-conversion libido working at the Meat Market. Few people become committed to working there full-time, but Ms. Fabina never forced anyone to work there longer than what they were comfortable with. Silixera turned to see another cobra Animalian slither over. Like hirself, she had four arms which gave her broader shoulders than the average woman. Silixera was slightly broader and taller due to hir being part male. Becka was also in very good shape, her four arms actually a little more muscular than Silixera’s. Her scales were a darker brown to Silixera’s lighter complexion. And as soon as their eyes met, both cobras felt a sudden warmth inside of them as their hearts started beating faster.
“Becka Doubledecka’s been working for us off-and-on for the last two years,” said Ms. Fabina, “She can show you the ropes of how to use your new body onstage. Becka, Silixera is a herm so you can think of how to work with that.” Ms. Fabina paused before saying, “On the other hand, shi can’t really display hir hermhood without becoming too indecently exposed. Just focus on showing hir your routine and we’ll have hir up to speed in no time.” With that, she left the two of them alone.
Becka turned to Silixera and said, “So, a herm? Were you male or female before?”
“Physically, I was female before, but inside, I was always supposed to be male,” said Silixera, keeping a careful concentration to avoid slipping into hisses.
“And how do you like being both?” asked Becka.
“I think I’m adjusting well, though the hormones are still pounding in my ears or whatever it is I hear with now,” said Silixera.
“Maybe I can help with that,” said Becka.
Silixera raised a scaly eyebrow, “You’re into herms?”
Becka shrugged and said, “I think I was a little bi before I converted. Part of the time, I hated the skinnier girls who made fun of me, sometimes I really wanted to be like them, and a few times I wanted to be with them. You having male equipment is a really big bonus.”
“Well, I’m not against the idea,” said Silixera, slithering a little closer.
Becka put a hand to Silixera’s midsection and said, “Save it for after work. First, I need to show you how to use your body onstage. Then I’ll show you how to use your body offstage.”

Back at Becka's apartment, the cobras soon got busy with each other. Having four arms each meant they were really quick in stripping each other. "Just so you know, I don't normally take people I just meet back to my place," said Becka.

"Yes, though it could just be my hormones. I may have been double-dosed, but I haven't had a lot of chances to have fun with other people," said Becka.

"Well, I could use my mouth for something else," said Silixera before pulling Becka close. The two of them kissed deeply, something they would be doing quite a lot of. Little did either of them knew that this was not going to be a short relationship of passion, but a blossoming bond of love.
