The twins find a place to hide where they can hide, and decided that Steph would be the one that drank the potion. She began looking at the people walking around, her body shifting as she looked around. Her eyes stayed on a woman sitting behind the desk in the adventurer's guild. Instead of mimicking the woman, her body shifted into a long limbed creature with pointed teeth. Sadie quickly began sketching the creature, while Steph continued observing the woman.
"Ok. You can move on now," Sadie said. Steph continued to look at the other people in the area. Several other people in the area show up as the strange creatures. Sadie sketched each of the people that were being impersonated. They didn't know who most of the people were, but knowing who was really who they were would be useful.
They repeated the process at the market district, but couldn't get into the lord's manor to properly check it. They did find several prominent local merchants had been replaced, however. They left the city in the evening, and returned to their parents.
