No one, least of all her, had really tried to make her beautiful, and her conviction of her own unattractiveness had only soared after being surrounded by hotties after the Great Change. But there was potential there, and hard work had brought it out. Elizabeth's breath was taken away by Maria's human, natural body in a way that post-Great Change women never made her feel. Maria blushed. To be desired was still something she was getting used to. "Go get 'em girl" whispered Maria's attendant Sabrina.
Billie carried off the ring-bearing flawlessly and was rewarded with a discreet high-five from Toni.
Robbie felt more pain than she had anticipated. The primary relationship of her adult life was now definitively over. She flashed back to being a man at her wedding to Elizabeth many years and a great change ago. She locked eyes with Teresa, and felt a little better.
Millie was thrilled to see another marriage form. She was crying happy tears.
