Stepping through the portal, Darren now beheld the homeland of the kitsune once more. After a few tense days Morgan was finally being taken before the kitsune to pay for her crimes against Akira. Blinking, Darren now noted a rather large contingent of kitsune, which included Shizen. "Greetings Catalyst," she said softly. "I see you have brought Morgan before us for judgment."
Darren nodded, glancing back at the lycan sorceress as both Kari and Aaron now escorted her forward. With a nod, Shizen now motioned the three cyber kutsune forward to take her into custody. "May we accompany her to her cell Lady Shizen," Kari asked. "Yes my child," Shizen said softly. Kari nodded, asking the others to wait as she now left.
"Is everything alright Lady Shizen," Darren asked. Shizen now gave the teen a warm smile, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Everything will be fine," she said. "After much consideration, and talking with Akira, we have decided to honor his wishes. Morgan shall be imprisoned within our dungeon for the foreseeable future." A low grumble now emanated behind Darren, causing the nine tailed kitsune to glance behind him. "Is there a problem Aiko?"
"Since when do we imprison those who mutilate kitsune," Aiko asked. "Throughout my lifetime the punishment has always been death."
"Things have changed Aiko," Shizen replied firmly. "There are extenuating circumstances. Your brother for one has spared her life, he was the one injured remember not you. Secondly, Morgan's past has earned her a chance at redemption. She has been an ally for decades and that is something I do not throw away so easily." Aiko quieted under the celestial kitsunes gaze, she may not approve but it appeared the decision had already been rendered. As Shizen studied the group, she furrowed her brow as her gaze fell upon Evan.
"You though have much to answer for."
Evan felt his face go pale as the nine tailed kitsune now scowled at him. "Although I can sense that the darkness with you has passed Evan Harris your actions here have brought nothing but death and destruction. Including the death of my husband!"
Evan hung his head, offering a meek apology as Dhirti clung to his arm. "You have already died once Evan Harris," she said. "One would think that would be enough, however, I believe you have much more to atone for." Evan simply nodded, awaiting a death blow that he most likely deserved. "As punishment you are to remain here, helping rebuild what you destroyed."
"I'm sorry come again?"
"You are to remain in the city Evan," Shizen stated. "Under my watchful eye, your friend may stay with you as well but, you are going to need work to repay your debt to the kitsune."
"I'm not sure what to say Shizen," Evan said softly.
"If it's a problem I could simply kill you and be done with it."
"No, No," Evan replied quickly. "I'll work. Thank you." Shizen simply nodded, instructing her guards to now escorted Evan and Dhirti to their new home. Darren was quiet, unsure of what to ask. Although he was the guardian of the kitsune, Shizen had obviously made these choices herself. "Darren," she said. "Both Evan and Morgan shall be looked after by us. You do not need to fear them any longer."
"Thank you Lady Shizen," Darren replied softly. Shizen simply smiled, beckoning the group forward. "No thank you Catalyst," she replied. "You have already done so much. Now please, enjoy our city for a time. There is much to discuss."
