Chad looked around in panic. This time Rick had gone too far. Chad didn't want to be a car, especially a car in a locker room. He had to get out before he ended up trapped inside. He needed help.
Chad headed toward the nearest building exit, which was through the natatorium. He didn't see anyone inside the locker room, but Rick had to be around here somewhere.
Opening his stiffening jaw, Chad said, "Vroom! VROOM!"
Hard as he tried, Chad had lost the ability to speak words. He could only make car sounds. He looked into one of the large mirrors by the locker room urinals. He was a hairless, metallic version of his former human self. His teeth were shiny grillwork, his eyes were glassy with an inner white light. Headlights!
No, I am human. I am Chad, I am not a car! Chad thought desperately. He dropped the pink slip and the fuzzy dice. His hands balled up as the became black rubber. They were becoming tires. He stumbled. His feet were turning darker, they would be tires too, he knew.
"Vroom!"
Chad hurried down the tiled corridor through the shower room toward the pool.
