Dorse Racing was a major and heavily pornographic joke of a sport that had sprung up in various unofficial competitions around the world after the Fusion Wave.
Sure, a good deal of money was bet, lost, and made at the events, but most of the time, bets concerned not which dorse racer would finish first, but as to which racer would collapse, crash, and especially, which one would cum first.
These events were crude and disorganized, treating Dorse racers, regardless of their level of intelligence, as mere beasts of sex, and stupid, hilarious walking jokes.
So everyone thought that the "sport" would be still somewhat of a joke when the WTEA and the creators and sponsors of MEATFEST announced that a heavily revamped version of it would be held in the 2028 MEATFEST.
It was anything but.

DETAILS ON THE NATURE OF DORSES IN POST-WAVE SOCIETY:
For those of you readers unaware of what a "D/orse" or "Dorse" is, search it up on Rule 34.
"D/orse" most likely means "dick horse" - a nightmarish organism that looks somewhat like a failed anthromorphic horse - with human skin.
The term was originally an online pornographic joke that some individuals somehow found attractive (pornographic artists could be commissioned to draw favorite characters in "dorse" form, or pornographic writers to write about them) - before they somehow became a reality with the Fusion Wave, alarming the WTEA in that most members of this new and distinct mutant "subspecies" were mostly accurate to the pre-Wave illustrations and descriptions of them. The reason for this, as with most things related to the Fusion Wave, is unknown.
Now, Dorses are recognized by the WTEA as a distinct mutant form - a description in no way meant to detract from their individualism and humanities. Dorses are not simply animals and are seen in post-Wave society as a common mutant form, and appreciated as now-ordinary civilians.
The created Dorses are either the results of fusions of humans and horses, fusions of humans and other equine or bovine animals, simply transformed humans, or simply transformed equine or bovine animals.
There is no apparent link between the transformative origin of the Dorse individual and their characteristics.
Most Dorses have the following basic characteristics:
1. A Slightly chubby body (not all dorses are chubby, a good deal of the members of the subspecies are skinny and athletic or just plainly fit - though some are morbidly obese)
2. Female Secondary Sex Characteristics, Disposition, and Appearance - minus the obvious present male genitals
3. A warped, quadruped form.
4. Fleshy pads instead of feet, or if not, regular (or enlarged) female feet (50/50 chance)
5. Very Large, Sensitive Breasts, often J or O-Cup Breasts
6. A permanently erect, very large penis. (that often sticks out from between the dorse's breasts, often causing unintentional masturbation)
7. An elongated, often veiny neck.
8. An elongated jaw and skull.
9. A very large pair of lips. (though common in dorses, not all of dorses have excess salivation)
10. A tail of hair, of varying length, that is located above the buttocks of a dorse, often the same color as the hair on the head of the dorse.
11. A larger than average anus and vagina, if one is present.
12. A constant, highly above average libido.
Once again, characteristics vary heavily among Dorse individuals, and while many have the following characteristics, as made apparent by the various parenthetical add-on details, some do not, or may have varying levels of such characteristics.
Many, if not most, of the Dorse individuals have various additional mutant characteristics - multiple heads, multiple limbs, multiple breasts, multiple genitals, swapped parts, non-equine and non-bovine animal characteristics, closer-to-humantaur forms, etc. Some dorses also have hands instead of feet.
Many dorses also have common mutant abilities - Natural Body Magic of various levels, Slime and Clay bodies, elastic properties, shapeshifting abilities, etc.

Most dorses are bisexual.
The level of intelligence in dorses, though often of AVERAGE HUMAN INTELLIGENCE, ranges from animalistic to that of genius human intellect.
Some dorses have gender identities contrary to their immediaately-seen Secondary Sex Characteristics and genders.
Due to their jaw and mouth structures, almost all dorses cannot speak. Those without telepathic abilities often are allowed to receive MyVoice bands to better communicate via applications to the WTEA.
