Meanwhile, back in Carolina’s room, Jeff starts to feel weird, he feels as if something is being sucked out of his mind, causing him to feel a little light headed and dizzy, ‘wh-what was that,’ the transformed boy asks himself, ‘it… it is as if I suddenly forgot something important, but… what? What could have been so important? Did I forget something before I headed over here to visit Jane? Wait… way would I visit Jane? She… she is my sister isn’t she,’ Jeff looks over at Jane. When Jeff looks at Jane out of the corner of his eye, he is overcome by a strange sensation, ‘I feel so weird,’ he thinks to himself, ‘on one side I feel as though I am related to her, but on the other side, I KNOW that I can’t be related to her! I mean… I am Japanese and she is Caucasian! But then again, something tells me I am not supposed to be Japanese… I am not even supposed to be a girl! I feel so confused… I… I think I need to take a breather, get my mind cleared!’
Jeff leans into Jane, “hey Jane,” he whispers, “I need to take a breather, so I’ll take a short walk. It’s just that I suddenly feel so overwhelmed”.
“Okay,” Jane whispers back, “but try and enjoy yourself, “Mayumi”. Remember that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to experience what it is like being the opposite sex.”
Jeff is about to ask what Jane is talking about, but decides to not do it, not wanting to cause some kind of confusion, he… she… Jeff is torn, as if unsure what gender he is. When the girl looks down at herself, she can tell that she is 100% a girl, but it is as if something inside of her is trying to tell her that this is NOT who she truly is, that she should be someone else, that she is in reality a boy and not a girl. The “girl” shakes her head a little, “I… I’ll be right back,” she then says to the group, “I need to take a breather”.
“Okay, Mayumi,” Carolina says, “just don’t wander off to far, we don’t want you to get lost”.
Jeff/”Mayumi” nods, “I promise not to wander off to far,” she says, getting to her feet and exiting the room.
Jane watches “Mayumi” leave, ‘something tells me, that something is not right, but I can’t seem to figure out what. Did something go wrong with the transformation? I hope not! I guess that Jeff is just still overwhelmed of being a girl, I guess he need a little time to get used to it, that would explain why he is acting like this,’ she thinks to herself, and with a shrug accepts that as the reason for “Mayumi’s” behaviour.
As “Mayumi” steps into the hallway, she takes a few seconds to gather herself, that is when a door, which is located next to Carolina’s room, opens and Raúl steps out.
The boy smiles, seeming a little more confident than earlier when she met him, “Mayumi, was it,” the boy, who is shirtless, asks, “what are you doing out here?”
Seeing the half dressed 14 year-old, his athletic torso on full display, causes “Mayumi” to feel a weird sensation raise in her, ‘shit… he is even handsomer than I first realised,’ she thinks to herself, not noticing as she starts to scan the boy’s torso with her eyes, taking in those well formed muscles. Raúl even has got a well trained six pack abs, for his size, the boy’s muscles are just right, not to small and not to extreme.
Raúl notices the girl scanning his body, checking him out, this causes the boy to grin inwardly, ‘looks like it worked,’ he thinks to himself, “Mayumi,” he then asks.
“Mayumi” blinks, and looks up at the boy, who is half a head taller than her, “s-sorry… what was the question?”
Raúl chuckles, “I asked, what are you doing out here,” he repeats his question, “didn’t you want to spend the evening with my sister and her friends, and especially Jane?”
The “girl” nervously rubs the back of her neck, ‘wh-why am I feeling so nervous in his presence all of a sudden,’ she asks herself, “I… this is all new to me. I feel a little overwhelmed, so I decided to take a little walk and catch a breather,” she then says.
“I see,” Raúl says, “would you mind if I join you? Especially since you don’t know your way around, and it is starting to get dark.”
Jeff/”Mayumi” is about to decline and tell Raúl that she would like to be by herself, but the more she thinks about it the more she feels as if it wouldn’t be such a bad idea, ‘after all,’ she thinks to herself, ‘he is right. I shouldn’t go out by myself, what if I get lost or something even worse happens?’
The girl looks at the boy, “I… I guess it wouldn’t be a bad idea,” she says.
Raúl smiles, “great,” he says, “let me just get dressed and grab my jacket,” he then hurries into his room. The boy soon reappears, now wearing a plain blue t-shirt and a jeans jacket, the two of them then head out of the house. “I know a nice spot,” Raúl says, “it is a place I always go to when I need some alone time and to relax. It’s not far from here.”
Jeff/”Mayumi” thinks for a while, “okay,” she then simply says, “lead the way”.
Raúl smiles, “follow me then,” he says and they head down the street.
As they walk, Jeff/”Mayumi” can’t help but feel her confusion grow, ‘why am I all of a sudden feeling attracted to Raúl,’ she asks herself, ‘he is a handsome boy and seems nice, but I can’t shake off the feeling that I shouldn’t be feeling this way. What is going on?’
