Nat and Rei now approached the Desoto home. After exchanging a few text messages with Miranda and Amara, the couples decided to check in on Miles, apparently the Desoto's had new neighbors. "So did Miles say anything," Rei asked.
"Just that it was a couple with a daughter our age," Miranda shrugged. "He really didn't have alot of details. By the way, where's Connor and Spark?"
"Having lunch with Calista and Mitch," Nat stated. "Apparently they want to compare notes on their relationships. There aren't alot of fairy/human couples and Connor and Spark are interesting in how they've managed." Nat and Rei nodded, ever since finding another couple they had noticed both Connor and Spark seemingly distracted. Calista and Mitch gave the teenage couple a glimpse of what their future could be like.
As the quartet entered the Desoto home, Nat glanced towards the living room. Miguel and Gabrielle were both smiling, laughing as they talked with two women Nat immediately recognized. "Um Rei," Nat said softly. "Dont we know them?" Rei now looked to where Nat was gesturing, her draw dropping as she immediately recognized Ann and Jackie. "Hey guys," Amara stated. "Miles is out back, you coming?"
"Yeah just a second," Nat said quickly. "Rei and I need a minute." Amara and Miranda simply nodded, telling the couple to hurry as they went to join Miles and Steph. Now alone, the couple now wondered what exactly Ann and Jackie were doing here? "So now what," Rei asked. Nat shrugged, she wanted to talk with them, the only question was how she could talk with them without letting the Desotos know about magic.

Wyatt smirked, watching as a portal now began to open within his throne room. Duke's call had come as a surprise to the vampire lord. When he discovered Duke wanted a favor, he smiled. The last time Duke asked for a favor he was able to gain two powerful vampires to add to his ranks. Wyatt now mused what else he could take from his half brother? As Duke now stepped through, Wyatt flashed a sacrene smile. "Duke what a pleasant surprise."
Duke frowned, glaring at his half brother before glancing behind him. Slowly a figure now emerged, causing the vampire lord to scowl. "You," Wyatt growled. "You dare enter my sanctum after the destruction you caused kitsune!"
Akiras face was expressionless, the kitsune dressed in the dark blue robes of a samauri warrior. When Nat had told Duke she wouldn't come, she had suggested an alternative. Calling her teacher, she asked Akira if he would do a favor for her. Inspite of his misgivings, and hatred of the vampires, he was willing to assist his young apprentice. Besides, the kitsune had a trick up his sleeve."I do not wish to be here either vampire," the kitsune grumbled, his eyes narrowed as he assumed a defensive stance.
"I should have you both executed," Wyatt exclaimed. "You slaughtered many vampires the last time you entered my domain."
"And you people nearly killed my beloved and tortured the child I have sworn to protect," Akira countered. Wyatt scoffed, glancing behind him. With a nod, he now beckoned his most trusted bodyguards forward. Duke watched as Ken, Donovan, and Ann emerged from the shadows, a low growl escaping the kitsunes lips as he gripped his katanas hilt tightly.
"We didn't come to fight Wyatt," Duke said quickly. "I need a favor."
"I think I've done enough favors for you brother," Wyatt grumbled. As the vampire lord began to move forward, he paused as a small smirk now spread across Dukes face. "I think you're going g to owe me brother," Duke grinned. "Especially considering who else is with me." Wyatt cast his brother a curious look, glancing towards the portal as one more figure now began to emerge.
Slowly another kitsune began to emerge. Standing at 7 feet tall, the golden nine tailed kitsune was adorned in a regal white and gold hikama. Gazing at the assembled vampires, the golden kitsune now cleared his throat as his hand rested upon the hilt of his katana. "Who is the lord of the vampires?"
"Who is this," Wyatt exclaimed. "How dare he enter my sanctum and not even know who I am! Guards! Dispose of these intruders!" As Wyatt turned to his bodyguards, he was surprised by what he saw.
Donovan, Ken and even Ann were frozen in fear, their eyes wide as they stared at the golden kitsune. Whatever he was, it was obvious he instilled fear. Slowly Wyatt's gaze now turned towards the kitsune, watching as a small chuckle escaped his lips.
"Obviously you are still young," the kitsune grinned. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name Tatsu, lord and protector of the kitsune."
"Tatsu," Wyatt asked, to which the kitsune frowned. "Lord Tatsu child," he said firmly. "Akira has told me of the actions your people have taken in the past, specifically with three children under OUR protection. I presume you are aware of the Harris children?" Wyatt nodded, gulping as the massive kitsune loomed over him.
"I gave dealt with your father and grandfather in the past," Tatsu stated. "A non aggression pact between our clans has existed for quite sometime. Vampires have stayed clear of our people for centuries. It would be wise to avoid hostilities between our people."
"Yes," Wyatt whispered, his eyes wide as he stared into the kitsunes eyes. "Yes, I think that would be wise. How can I assist you?"
"Akira tells me that your brother is in need of assistance," Tatsu stated. "If you wish to keep the peace between our people I would suggest listening." Wyatt nodded, turning to Duke. Already he could see a smug smile emerging on his brothers face. It seemed that this time Duke had the upper hand.
