They drove in relative calm to the restaurant that Vincent had suggested.
Walking in, William was reassured when he saw that it was a normal, if not a bit run down, sports bar. They got their menus and took one of the tables in the sparsely populated venue.
"What do you normally get?" William asked his coworker.
Vincent had pulled out his phone again and just said, "They've got the best burger in town," without glancing up.
They ordered their burgers and beers and sat there eating for what felt like a while without Vincent adding anything to the conversation. Of course, given his embarrassment about needing Vincent's help at all, he didn't really know if conversation with his weird coworker was going to be good or bad.
The burger was good. The beer was good too. He had one with his meal and then a couple more. Even though Vincent wasn't talking much, the varied sports playing on the tvs made for a good time.
After a while, they finished up their meal. That was when William remembered that he'd left his phone and wallet back in the clothes he'd destroyed in his car. Vincent, with another unexpected act of kindness paid the bill and they made their way back to the car.

Vincent was brimming with excitement as he walked into the restaurant. He had been enhancing and tweaking William since he came into work. Downloading the software to his phone had been a genius move. Now, after adjusting the awareness settings, he was ready to see what he could do.
The first thing Vincent did when they got to their bar height table was swipe the option on his app that made the clothes William was wearing vanish.
