Johnny decided it'd be best to have his tf remain a secret. He wouldn't tell anyone, not even his wife.
Next day, Johnny was at work, fishing on the coast line with his coworker Horatio.
Horatio was a 33 year old man with milk chocolate brown hair, blue eyes and blue-tinted square eyeglasses. he wore a red knit toboggan hat to cover his hair, a light blue-colored polo shirt, yellow rubber overalls with suspenders and blue buttons, and dark brown boots with orange bottoms.
He was known to be quite intelligent, Johnny especially remembering it, for he often used big words that even he couldn't understand.
But then, at their lunch break, Horatio was the first to notice something very different about his co-worker - his hair and beard were seaweedy green instead of chestnut brown, and they seemed to be almost slightly longer than the last time he saw him.
"Johnny," said Horatio, "your hair seemed to have somewhat considerably stretched past it's length and changed it's pigment to seaweed green!"
"Has it?" Johnny wondered. He looked at his reflection in a spoon, and saw that Horatio was right - his hair and beard was much longer, and it was seaweedy green instead of chestnut brown.
Horatio didn't know it, but his co-worker was changing into a fish.
Johnny didn't know what to do. He wanted to deny his changes, and tell Horatio he was fine, but who was he to lie to him? He was his co-worker, and his friend, who had just found out about his co-worker/friend's piscine change.
"Horatio." Johnny said, "I have something to tell you. I'll tell you after work."
"But," he added, "If I tell you, do you promise not to tell anyone?"
"I do, Johnny. Sailor's honour." Horatio said, crossing his heart.
----
Soon, after work, Johnny and Horatio went down to the hull.
Johnny then took off his boots and socks, and showed his webbed feet to Horatio.
"Oh my goodness!" Horatio exclaimed, feeling the gelatinous webbing inbetween Johnny's toes. "Johnny, a gooey gelatinous mass has formed inbetween the crevices of your toes!"
Johnny told Horatio everything - about the paddling in the shore near his house, his wondering of what it'd like to be a fish, everything.
"It's true." Johnny told Horatio. "I'm turning into a fish."
"Don't worry, " Horatio said. "I promise to keep your secret."
