"Hmm," you mumbled to yourself. Who could you use this on?
"Hey, bro! You home?" Eric, your 22-year-old brother, called out from the front door. A smile comes to your face. This could be interesting.
"Yeah, man! Be right down!" you called back. You left your bedroom with the gun in your hand. Your heart began to race. You took a deep breath as you descended the stairs. You didn't want to accidentally miss in your excitement.
"I just got word from Mom and Dad," Eric said from the living room. "They're going on a brief date night and staycation thing at a hotel downtown. We've got the place to ourselves for the next few days."
"Sounds perfect!" you replied and rounded the corner. You saw your brother taking off his sandals by the front door. You aimed the gun and pulled the trigger.
"I'm going to go work oUT!" His voice cracked a little as a beam of light burst out of the gun and struck Eric in the back. His strong, muscled back contorted a bit, like he was trying to shake something off of him. The beam of light suddenly flickered repeatedly before shutting off. The gun was suddenly hot to the touch. You quickly set it down on a nearby bookshelf and looked over at your brother.
He didn't look any different than before, even though the gun had to have done something to him. He still had the same broad muscles that he had acquired from years of playing football. His thick brown hair was exactly the same. His green tank top was still as form-fitting as ever. Your eyes drifted a little downward before Eric whirled around in confusion. His deep green eyes settled on you for a moment.
"Sorry, I thought something stung me," he said. "You didn't see anything, did you?" You shook your head, lying with your mouth shut. "Weird." He paused and stared at you for a moment. "Say, I was going to workout downstairs. Would you like to join me? We could have a night in afterwards, just the two of us."
That was new. He rarely wanted to workout with you normally, saying that you'd get in his way. He also usually spent evenings like this going out to bars. That was girlfriend-like, you figured. But wasn't he supposed to turn into your girlfriend? The clerk never said that it would be an instant change. Maybe it's a gradual one?
"Uh, sure," you said. "Sounds like fun."
Eric grinned broadly. You briefly pictured that smile on a girl's body. You had to admit the thought turned you on a bit. "Great! I'll change into workout gear and meet you down there in like five minutes." He walked past you and held your gaze for a moment. His hand brushed against yours, sending a chill through you. You wondered if you had been changed, too. But no, that wasn't possible. You rush off to your room to get changed into workout gear.
