As they drove off, Emily readjusted her bra and stretched. She was determined to make the most of her day as an adult woman.
However, before she began to walk, she stopped. Walk... to where? What was her life even like? What was Emily "Tenner's" life like? She turned her head, and spotted her neighbor's house, which originally was owned by the Juarez family, but was now hers.
Walking inside, she was immediately disappointed by what she had found. It was fairly empty, the entrance way was barren and led right into a living room with a red chair and sofa. The T.V. was small, and nearby was a kitchen with only minimal appliances. As she opened the cupboards for a snack, she took note of how little food she had.
After taking a seat on the chair with an apple in one hand and her phone in the other, she began to scroll through her new past. It was always fun seeing just how much could change with just the smallest changes. From what she could tell, Emily lived alone, was currently dating a guy, but from her texts with friends and this dope it looked like he was afraid of commitment.
"Ugh, if I'm a grown woman for the day I at least wanted the full mom experience." She sighed, mouthful of apple. "Hell if I look this good in mom jeans I gotta try being one."
She briefly considered involving her original family, but figured her mom was gonna be pissed anyway when she remembered so there was no reason to get her more angry. Then she considered going to the mall, but realized how hard it'd be to get them all back to normal after she was done having her fun. Finally, it clicked.
"Oh duh, I should just go neighbor shopping!" She laughed aloud.
Neighbor shopping, as she called it, was a game she'd often do while growing up. Whenever she wanted some new friends, or playmates, or dates or whatever, she would browse her neighborhood for potential volunteers. There was a wide variety of options, and best of all she knew where they lived so it was always easy to put things back the way they were.
Josh Huffman, their neighbor across from them, was Emily's favorite pick for a playdate when she was in kindergarten, as he made a super fun little girl, while his wife Susan was actually her prom date... mostly because her as a younger guy was super hot and kinda a crush of hers. Of course she wouldn't keep her like that forever, but she really wished she had been born Sam instead of Susan. Josh was a brunette with some tub on his stomach, whereas his wife was still rather slender, with bright blonde hair. They were currently talking outside alongside their dog, Rex.
"Okay... I want a husband, and at least 2 kids... oh and a cat!" She thought to herself as she glanced around the neighborhood. A decent amount of people were outside, some gardening some chatting. It seemed that it was mostly adults as school was in session, so she'd have to do some age changing shenanigans for her day being the matriarch of her temporary family. Other than the Huffman's, there was a retired couple, the Smiths. They were an old, cranky white couple who were both far past their prime. If Emily ever changed them, it was usually to make them animals since they were mean to her as a kid. Finally there was the mailman, Chuck, who Emily didn't know much about. He was 20 something, Asian, and new. There was also Candice. She was a 30 something woman who lived two blocks away, but always jogged around here, like she was now. She was fit, African, and always was listening to music so Emily never really interacted.
She decided to start with...
