Emily wanted a husband first. The obvious choice was Susan Huffman, just due to how handsome her male form was, but fight now, Emily wasn't quite feeling it. She wasn't quite after a boytoy, but moreso having a family, and Susan didn't quite suit the aesthetic she was imagining. While the couple didn't have any children, somehow Josh had more of a "dad vibe" compared to his wife.
Maybe she could go for Josh for a change of pace? Give him more of a try as a partner than she'd done before? She pointed her finger at Josh, and focused to make him his loving husband, oh, and a bit more muscular as well.
FLASH
The first apoarant change was that Josh was in fact more muscular. Another thing, he was speaking with Susan before, and he was still speaking with her now, except their body language was different, more formal, with them being further apart, seeming more like neighboors exchanging words rather than the longtime husband and wife they were before.
Josh said goodbye to what used to be his wife and walked towards Emily's home. She watched giddily as her new husband was coming home.
Another thing she just noticed, making Josh her husband had also changed her home's interior. More stuff, nicer looking furniture. It looked like a couple, especially considering she could spot a photo on the wall which must be from their wedding in this reality.
Josh entered the door and spoke in a familiar tone, "Susan asked me if we could watch Rex while she's gone for a week. Is that alright with you sweetie?"
"Sure, that works." Emily smiled.
Heh. No one to watch the dog. Susan is single now. Even if Emily liked Susan, it still gave her a little bit of perverse thrill from how easy it was to steal her husband away. Of course she'd return him later, so it's not like she was actually hurting Susan. It was all just harmless fun.
"Sweetie, I am leaving for work now."
"Oh, um, by dear."
Not a surprise considering it was the morning of a week day. Still, Emily was slightly disappointed that her newly gained husband would leave so quickly. At least she could gather the rest of her family until he returns from work.
