Exhausted by your ordeal, you turn the water off and drift off to sleep in the bathtub.
You wake up the next morning, finding yourself still in the tub. All the water has drained out and you've dried off in your sleep. Your body is sore from the awkward sleeping location, but you seem to be physically back to your old self. With some difficult, you get out of the tub and look in the mirror. Your face looks like your normal male face. Did you have some kind of vivid hallucination after being exposed to some kind of drug at the carnival, or did you really turn into a mermaid after you got home?
You rest your hand on your chin in contemplation and notice your skin feels unusually smooth. You at your face closer in the mirror then examine the rest of your body. Everything seemingly back to normal, but - other than the hair on your head - you have no body hair. Come to think of it: was your hair always that dark?
You're left with the uncomfortable possibility that everything you remember really happened. Could it happen again and what would trigger your change? You don't know.
You get ready to face the day, even though you can't help but feel apprehensive about what might happen.
