After a long bus ride, the bus stopped at a street filled with old homes and Abigail got off it. Once she wave a good bye, she turned to see an small one story faded pink house that look decked up with a mixture of 50s, 60s, and 70s designs. Looking at it, she knew that this is her old home she grew up in. Ever since she was born, she had always lived in that house her whole life. She grew up there, raised a family and grand family there, had good and bad memories there, and soon, she will leaved this world in the house that she was born into. She didn't want to be in a retirement home as she was worried about the nurses if they neglect someone like her. She wishes to remain in her home until her time has come. And if that happens, she would move on with her entire family by her side.
Looking to her house, she smiled warmly and said in a nice toned voice, "If ever so lonely, there's no place like home."
Walking to the house with her cane for support, she used the keys to enter the house and looked around to see if everything is just as it was. She started to walk down the old and elegant dinning room. Then the kitchen that looked like it came from the 1950s. Then proceeded with the living room that looked to be circa 1970s with the exception of the flat screen TV, cable, and blu-ray with multiple movies. She soon entered her bedroom and it looked like something an old lady could have. A bed, a study desk, a vanity filled with a lot of make up, and a nightstand that has photos of her entire family. But the one thing she approached is the rocking chair that shows the trees and birds, a quiet view for a woman like her. Approaching the chair, she slowly sat on it and looked to the view, rocking it back and forth and watched the trees blowing and the birds chirping.
Looking on, she breathed a bit of relief and said, "Ah... This is the life. No worries about work or family issues. Just me and the view. What a way to live." As she thought of that, she remembered that she doesn't have much of a life to live. "It's a shame that soon I will move on from this. I had such a long and steady life, yet I feel like there is still so much I should've done. And with little time that I have, I don't know if I could do other things I want to do."
She soon remembered what the stranger gave her and looked to the medallion to see what it can do. She remembers that the man told her that the amulet can make any wish come true once, that includes wishing to be young again and do so many things. That thought pleases her, but she feels like it was just a pipe dream. "Hmm... A medallion that can wish for anything to happen. That seems impossible to accomplish. But if what he said is true, then maybe there's a chance for me to live a longer and more amazing life then what I got. Let's see... What am I to do?"
She thought of what to do with this medallion and what to wish for.
