When the sparkles faded away, Leon saw that the world was out of proportion, completely so. Everything was huge! The genie was looming over him like a real towering giant. It was crazy! Scary!
"What have you done to me!?!?" he yelled, completely astounded and terrified.
But words did not come out of his mouth. Just shrieks that held no understandable syllables. What?!?!... He looked around him at the world that had so drastically changed and finally caught a glimpse at his body. Hairy. Hands with non-opposable thumbs. A snout . A tail, more alarmingly. Sharp teeth. No clothes. Privates hanging loose and free with no hygienic underwear of any kind. A small body. The genie had changed him into a juvenile specimen.
"You are a monkey. A baboon, more precisely. Is that proof enough?"
He nods his head vigorously. Yes! Yes, he believes! A monkey! A stupid baboon! The sort that you only stare and mock and throw food at in a zoo! Who relieves himself in public and in the open! Ugh! Disgusting! He screeches anew, even though he cannot speak anymore. The genie just smile, though.
"Sorry. I don’t speak monkey. But I could keep you like this. What do you think? You could stay on my shoulder, add an exotic touch, live in my lamp with scraps of food. A carefree life without worries. I could even erase your human mind so you won't miss anything and be funnier. What do you think?"
At Leon's frightened stares, the genie then adds:
"Or I could simply change you back and ask you what your wishes are."
He gulps audibly as the genie appears to ponder upon those two possibilities, one very scary indeed.
