Tina spent the rest of her time at the daycare handling important paperwork while Leah was watched over by the rest of the daycare staff. As she worked she also began filling out a list of things she needed to get for her stepdaughter. Since her stepdaughter was acting like a small child Tina figured it would be best to treat her as such, after all Leah had always been a bit prideful being treated like child would make her act like a teenager again.
She would need to get her some new clothes to replace her teenage clothes, diapers for her accidents, and toddler toys to replace all of her entertainment options. Tina wonders why Leah would act this way? Was it done for her attention? Was it to drive her away?
She’d likely never get a straight answer from Leah. By the time she had finished and was ready to leave it was in the middle of the daycares nap time. As she walked out of the office and into the nap room she could she Leah lying on the floor with tiny pink blanket draped across her body. It was the calmest her wayward stepchild had ever been in her memories.
Julie approached her as she came into the room. “Hey Tina did you come to pick up little Leah” she asked quite yet cheerfully.
“Yeah I need to pick up some extra supplies for her back at the house,” Tina responded looking at Leah. “How was she? She didn’t give you too much trouble I hope,” Tina asked as Julie gently picked up the sleeping Leah and handed her to Tina.
“No she was pretty well behaved actually,”Julie said with an exuberant grin.
Tina was surprised by that having thought Leah might give everyone a hard time. “Well I’ll see you tomorrow Julie,” Tina says before walking out of the daycare loading Leah into a car seat in her car.
