"So, we won't have all the same classes together?" Chenoa asked Miles who looked disappointed.
"I'm sorry, but no we won't but we do have at least one class together and we even have the same lunch period and so do Stephanie, Connor, and Spark." Miles reassured her.
Chenoa was still getting used to being in the city as opposed to being in the forest, it was noisier, and there were a lot more rude people than she would like to have met before. But she was glad to have met Miles, and although they didn't have the best first meeting, she thought of Stephanie as her best friend and Stephanie was happy to say she considered Chenoa her best friend as well.
"I can't believe Travis and I have to have different lunch schedules, it's so unfair." Stephanie said as Travis turned her face towards his and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I'll see you at the end of the school day." Travis said as she smiled.
"At least you take it easier than those two." Chenoa said looking over at Connor and Spark. Spark seemed to be kissing Connor nonstop.
"Why does lunch have to be so far away? Why can't we just run away and get hitched now?" Spark asked Connor in-between her kisses.
"Come on Spark, it won't be that bad, we'll see each other at lunch. Also if we ran away and got married, both of our dads would come after us, my dad would scold you, and your dad would kill me for running away with you." Connor said.
"Yeah, but I like 'Rebellious Connor', he sounds so....sexy." Spark said stroking Connor's shirt on his chest making Connor blush.
"Anyway, you've got a class with Nat first, so she'll make sure you do well." Miles said as he headed off to class. Chenoa watched as Miles walked to his classroom.
Stephanie noticed her best friend was looking sad and went to console her.
"Hey, are you alright?" Stephanie asked. "Yeah, I am. It's just so much to take it for me, plus I have to camouflage my deer legs all the time. I kind of wish I went to a school where people were animals like me." Chenoa said as Nat grabbed her arm.
"Come on Chenoa, we don't want to be late to your first class!" Nat said as Chenoa pulled her and they ran to their first classroom together.
Nat didn't notice her ring glowing after Chenoa had made her wish. Just past the lockers they ran by were three girls who were trying to hide that they were smoking.
"God, I hate that my folks make me come here." A girl with red hair said as she suddenly morphed into an anthro red cocker spaniel.
"I know, I'd rather, sniff butts in the park than be here." A blonde girl said as she morphed into an anthro border collie.
"Yeah, my mom can be such a literal bitch sometimes." An African American girl said as she morphed into an anthro doberman.
"Hey, you three, get to class now or you're all suspended." The middle aged principal said as she morphed into an anthro owl.
"Like you give a hoot." The border collie teen joked as her other two friends laughed and went to class.
"Why do teenagers have to be such bitches the owl principal said.
Chenoa may not have known it, but the rest of the school was about to get an animal makeover.
