To say Michelle was closing in on a panic attack would be an understatement. Never the most confident public speaker the young agent was petrified of teaching her first class. Just as she was about to get her anxiety under control, her heart skipped a beat as both Nat and Chenoa now entered the room.
For the teens it proved to be quite a shock as they gazed at the S.P.E.A.R agent. They recognized her from over the summer when she helped find Chenoa's parents. What was she now doing in their school? Approaching Michelle they could see the young woman grow paler as they moved closer. "Um agent?"
"Wong," Michelle said quickly. "Michelle Wong but um while we're at school can you call me Miss Wong? Or should I go with Ms.? Like m s or should I just roll with M.I.S.S.?" Nat and Chenoa looked to eachother raising an eyebrow before turning back to Michelle. If Nat thought she was awkward than Michelle took it to a whole different level. "Um Miss Wong," Nat said softly. "Look thing's will be okay. We were just surprised to see you."
"Yes first days are always hard Miss Wong," Chenoa added, a small smile spreading across her face. "I too am nervous. It's my first day too but, after you rescued my family it would be my pleasure to help you through your day." Michelle smiled, her pulse slowing as her anxiety began to drop. Maybe thing's would be okay, she just needed to relax.
As the trio looked towards the entrance of the classroom, their eyes now went wide in astonishment. A teenage girl now entered, dressed in the latest fashion. The girl now running her hands through her majestic fur as she sauntered towards the back, her tail wagging to and fro as she took a seat. "Is...is that girl a collie?!?"
Nat and Chenoa gaped looking first to Michelle then the anthro collie girl in the back of the class. "Yeah," Nat whispered. "Does this type of thing happen normally at this school," Chenoa asked. Nat shook her head no. This was definitely out of the ordinary. As they continued to watch the girl, they notice her tap a teenage boy on the shoulder to talk. As he turned Nat, Michelle, and Chenoa watched him change.
The boys cheeks began to puff out, his ears rising to the top of his head as grey fur began to cover his body. A massively furry tail now exploded from the teens shorts, twitching as he talked as his front teeth grew slightly larger in size. "Did that kid just turn into a squirrel," Michelle said frantically.
Nat and Chenoa nodded, stunned by his transformation taking place. Odder still was the fact none of the students appeared to notice an anthro collie and squirrel now idly chatting."Yeah we saw it," Nat whispered. Quickly, Michelle now reached into her desk, writing out a pair of passes for Nat and Chenoa. "I think you two need to go get Ms. McKinnon."
"But what about you," Chenoa asked.
Michelle now gestured to her wrist, Nat and Chenoa now noticing for the first time the small rune covered bracelet she wore. "Mr. Moreland gave this to me before I came here," she said. "Apparently it protects me from magic and let's me notice any changes that might take place." Nat nodded, recognizing the hunters rune as she took the passes and Chenoa's hand.
As the two teens left, Michelle turned back to her class, nearly falling over in shock. In few minutes she had talked with Nat and Chenoa, two more students had turned into animal hybrids. Now an anthro chipmunk girl was talking with her anthro rabbit boyfriend. The girl giggling as the rabbit boy pinched her cheeks. Sighing, she now called her class to attention as she nervously began to teach. Hopefully they could figure out a way to reverse this before she had to call her superiors for backup.
