The two new dragon parents of noble birth, Ignis and Pyrona, saw that the two eggs had revealed a few surprises. They had expected, from Pyrona's story, to have two normal dragons and no noble breed from these eggs. Yet the two hatchlings were clearly no usual dragons. They had more crests and appendages used as bodily decorations. The way noble dragons could be seen at first sight. But Pyrite and her unknown little sister had displayed none of these characteristics. They couldn't. Yet now they did. And Pyrite's sister was pale pink, leading Pyrona to call her Coral. Ignis approved. They reflected that the magic used by Pyrona had created this change of characteristics which required by definition infinite amount of skilled magic. Pyrona had unleashed it in her regression spell and it had impacted Coral as well. Magi could be quite unstable indeed. But it was of no matter for the two new delighted parents. In fact, so much the better, for they would have no need to explain these two beautiful little dragons's differences from the noble sort. And maybe they had noble ancestry that had been reactivated by Pyrona's magic. It was a possibility! But of course, if Jasper was naturally of a royal descent, at best Karltin was the descendant of the bastard son of a long-forgotten king. And what was more, these little darlings had taken more rom their new parents! Pyrite's scales now had a more reddish tone in stripes along her back and Coral had fire-like scales as markings around her eyes. Pyrona and Ignis rumbled in pure joy and cuddled together and with their new precious little treasures. By sheer instincts, Coral and Pyrona sank into a deep sleep. All the better, for their minds would have trouble dealing with this new life, most unexpected.
