As Elizabeth plays with Leah she can’t help but feel a sense of longing. Seeing Leah so happy and carefree makes her feel envious of her. But at the same time she’s uncertain if this is what she truly wants, to be a toddler like Leah.
“Leah do you think miss Tina will let me try daycare for a day?” Elizabeth asked as Leah looked at her with a wide grin.
“It can’t hurt to ask,” Leah said as she grabbed her friend by the hand and almost dragged her to her stepmom. “Mommy, can Elizabeth come to daycare with for a day?” Leah asks as they come into the kitchen.
“What? Why?” Tina asks confusedly as Elizabeth shyly blushes.
“I’ve never seen Leah so happy and playing with was really fun.” Elizabeth as looked at the ground almost mumbling her words.
Tina sighs, she had hoped Elizabeth would have helped her with getting Leah to be a teenager again not join her in daycare. But maybe this would be the push Leah needed if Elizabeth didn’t like it and stopped hanging out with her she would go back to normal. “Fine she can come with you tomorrow if she can somehow convince her parents,” Tina said as Leah cheered excitedly while Elizabeth blushed at the thought of convincing her parents to let her do this.
“Okay thank you Miss Tina,” Elizabeth said as she left to go home.
