"I say we go solo, this place is huge afterall." Jeff suggested partly out of a want for them to explore everything, and so he could experiment with the Chronivac without his friends overseeing him.
"Shouldn't we stick together in groups atleast?" Todd questioned.
"I think we'd take until the middle of the night if we stick together." Zack commented, drawing nods from some of them.
"How about we split up then meet up here again in a hour or half?" Dean suggested to general agreement.
"Alright then, lets do it so we split up across the mansion, then meet up in the Foyer after an hour has passed to see if anyones found something good." Todd agreed and everyone picked where they wanted to go so they could collectively explore as much of the mansion as fast as practical. In Jeffs case he picked out the fourth floor, for the simple unstated reason that he wanted privacy for his experimentation, with the others relegating themselves mostly across the 1st and 2nd floors.
And with everyone in agreement about when they'll be meeting up and where they'll keep their exploration, they split up and went on their ways. Jeff climbed the Foyer to the second floor then found a set of stairs off to the side that went higher to the 3rd, and then finally the 4th floor where the Mansions old age and general decay made itself really apparent. The walls were faded and the wallpaper looked to be fraying in places, most of the pictures and other decorations were fallen or damaged via exposure to the elements, and he quickly found some windows that were shattered, or holes in the halls roof to the attic that gave direct sight of the massive holes in the mansions old roof. And through one of those holes Jeff found one of the Mansions rooftop gargoyles which looked to be on the precipice of falling over into one of the massive holes in the roof, but gave a genuine cool-looking view to Jeff.
"Woah, that looks cool from this angle! I hope it doesn't drop though." Jeff thought aloud, taking out his phone at using it to take a photo. Then looking around for somewhere to sit down with the Chronivac, Jeff entered one of the nearby rooms on the lookout preferably for a place to somewhat comfily sit, finding this one to be mostly empty with essentially only a dusty, slightly-weathered, chair against one of the walls being of note. And testing the chair Jeff found it to be alright if a bit stiff.
"Alright, time to show me what you can do Chronivac." Jeff smiled as he pulled out his phone and opened the Chronivac app and was greeted by a popup saying; "Thank you for installing this app, we at TransDem Labs wish you a satisfying experience with this program. To get started, please SCAN a nearby object or person and their profile will be added for you to manipulate to your hearts content. If you wish to edit your World, you can find your worlds profile by pressing on the Globe button at the top of the Profile list. If you wish to edit a large-scale object, like a building or a country, you can enable 'large-scale scan' in the dropdown menu at the top of the Profile list. And thats all from us! P.S. We dont technically exist in any reality where we've given a Chronivac away, so you wont be able to find us."
"And thank you for giving me the opportunity." Jeff grinned, finding and activating 'large-scale scan' and then pressing on the big SCAN button on the bottom of his phonescreen, watching the empty profile-list gain entries for the Mansion (with subentries for its rooms/floors and the surrounding property), himself and his friends.
"Time to give it a te- huh?" His smile grew, then died, his eyes narrowed, his face looked confused.
"What's this?" He mumbled in confusion as he looked closer at the oddity he found.
