“The playground would be pretty nice about now,” Greg responded as Dani frowned.
“There won’t be too many other people, right? Dani asked as Greg shrugged his shoulders.
“It’s a school day most kids probably haven’t gotten out of school yet,” Greg lied smoothly, he had checked the playground earlier and there had been a descent amount of people there with their kids and hopefully the majority wouldn’t have left
yet.
Soon enough Greg pulled into parking lot and helped Dani out of the car seat before bringing her to the bathroom’s changing table and changing her dirty diaper. Upon putting her new clean diaper Greg began carrying her to playground proper where a decent amount of kids were still playing.
“Greg! You said there any weren’t any people here!” Dani whispered worriedly.
“Sorry Dani I guess they must have gotten a free day,” Greg said quietly as they watched kids play in the sand and slide down the slides. “Do you think you can pretend to be a little kid for awhile?” Greg asked as Dani bit her lip before nodding.
“Yeah I remember how I acted whenever I was mentally a toddler so I can make this work,” Dani whispered as Greg set her down.
“Alright then have fun,” Greg said as Dani went to play in the sandbox with a few other little kids trying to build a sand castle. After an hour of playing in the sand a sleepy Dani and happy Greg went home.
