A few days later, Greg picked Dani up from work. She had a note pinned to the front of her shirt. When Greg asked about it, Dani pouted and said that Kristoff didn’t trust her to give him the note any other way. They got home and Greg had Dani sit in front of the TV while he worked on dinner and read the note from Kristoff.
The contents of the note did not surprise Greg. Honestly, he didn’t expect it to take this long. Dani was officially fired from her job. However, Kristoff had pulled some strings. If Dani was willing to continue testing toddler products (obviously not for individual customers, but rather for the companies producing the products), she could attend the daycare at the store for free. And since the companies also wanted her to test furniture products, she would get everything she needed for her bedroom for free.
Greg was stunned at what an amazing deal this was. He wanted to call Kristoff immediately to accept it, but he didn’t want Dani to know. No, he wanted Dani to just think she had been fired and Greg had convinced the store to let her attend daycare there.
Greg finished dinner, fed Dani, gave her a bath, and put her to bed. Once she was snoring cutely, Greg called Kristoff and accepted the deal. Tomorrow, Dani would be going to daycare.
