Six months. For the last six months Darren and his friends had fought for their very lives. Darren and the others should have been finishing their first year of high school. Instead they found themselves in a hell they wouldn't wish on anyone. Today though, would hopefully be the end of it.
They had found it finally, the time machine the Normal used to travel into the past and alter history. This would be the last stand of the resistance. If they failed than none of them would survive past this day. Already Fukushu and Darren had instructed the others what to do if this didn't succeed. The survivors who followed Fukushu for so long should go into hiding. For Darren's friends, they should try to blend into society.
"Are you sure he'll come," Darren asked.
"He will," Fukushu said softly. "The Boss values this device more than any other piece of property in his arsenal. If he thinks we will use his time machine to alter the future he crafted he will attack with everything he has." Darren nodded, as the pair ventured into the secret facility. There was a certain irony in where the Normal had hidden the device. Located on the East Coast, the Normal had hidden their time travel device underneath the offices of S.P.E.A.R, the former Catalysts allies.
Fukushu and Darren now stood outside the building, awaiting the inevitable counterattack. "Are the others in position," the kitsune asked. "They're heading to the device now," Darren stated. "Should be 20 minutes." Fukushu nodded as the pair now listened. Already they could hear the sounds of approaching helicopters and vehicles. Their actions obviously catching the Bosses attention. "Darren," Fukushu said softly, glancing at the teen. "Thank you. After so many years you've given me hope. Finish what we've started." Darren paused, confused by what the kitsune meant. Before he ask he felt himself thrown backwards, Fukushu useing his magic to propel the teen into the building before sealing it.
As Fukushu now gazed upon the horizon, he smirked as the Boss and his troops sped towards him. He would finally have a chance at vengeance, to right the mistakes that had tuned the world into this fractured hell for the supernatural world. As the Boss and his soldiers now surrounded him, the kitsune laughed, his tails swishing behind him in anticipation.
"You've got some set of balls on you fox," the Boss bellowed as he disembarked. "After all these years you try to fuck with the world I created! How did you even find this place?"
"I didn't but Darren and his Soul Drive did."
The Boss sighed, shaking his head as he glared at the kitsune. "I should of killed that kid years ago," he sighed. "No matter, I'll take care of this today. You're surrounded and outmanned kitsune. My best troops are heading to intercept what's left of your pitiful rebellion. You're not leaving here alive."
"Neither of us will live past today," Fukushu growled, unsheathing his sword. The Boss chuckled a malicious smile spreading across his face as he glared at the nine tail. As he gave the order to attack, all he could think of was his inevitable victory. Today would be the day the Normal finally secured their vision of the world.
