"Caleb."
Spark paused, glancing around the study hall. After some tension between friends, things were slowly returning to normal. Well as normal as things could be when you were friends with the supernatural and demi gods.
While the fairy turned teen had heard about Stephanie's mom inadvertent return to preschool, she was glad everything began to calm down. Still, that didn't explain the odd feeling that washed over her. Caleb was in trouble, she could feel it. The bond they shared told her that her partner told her so. The only problem right now was the fact she was stuck in study hall. Standing, she now raced towards Rei.
Rei appeared startled as Spark sprinted to her side. The pair shared a study hall and the teenage wizard had hoped to finish her homework before her next class. Instead, she now had a very animated fairy in front of her. "Spark what," she said in alarm. "I need your help," the fairy said nervously. "Caleb is in trouble. I have to go!"
"Are you sure," Rei asked, the teen genuinely surprised. Despite the bond Caleb and Spark shared, the fairy never appeared this apprehensive. Caleb was quite adept at taking care of himself. "Yeah I'm sure," Spark said quickly, the fairy far more anxious than anyone had ever seen. "Look, somethings wrong, I can tell! I have to get out of here. I'm not going to let anything happen to another partner!"
Rei nodded, although she didn't know the story well, she had heard how Spark was at one time Connors father partner. After Mr. Moreland was injured, Spark became Calebs partner. That partnership so far had been beneficial for the fairy, Caleb quietly going to school and allowing Spark to remain with Connor. Whatever was happening now though, appeared life threatening to the young hunter. "What do you need me to do?"
"Get us out of here for one," Spark exclaimed. "I know you have a few spells in that book of yours. Just get me to Caleb."
"Let me get Nat too," Rei added. "She's in Mr. Harris's class with Connor. They should be able to get out." Spark nodded, the two teens now sprinting out of study hall.
The entire ordeal took less than five minutes, Rei and Spark able to grab Nat, Connor, and Stephanie from Mr. Harris's history class. A quick spell from Rei now found the five teens in the woods. Spark immediately scanning the area nervously for Caleb. A collective gasp now escaped the teens lips as they found Caleb.
The young hunter lay prone on the ground, Spark seeing he was bleeding and barely conscious. Standing a short distance away, the group now saw a teenage boy holding a katana. From what they could tell it appeared this teen had attacked Caleb.
Nat and the others now lept into action, Nats features shifting, her vampiric features now on full display as she lept into the air kicking the teen in the chest. As she now glared at this mysterious teenager, Connor and Spark checked on their brother. "Caleb!"
"What took you," Caleb grunted, wincing in pain as he smirked at his little brother and Spark. "Lie still and shut up," Spark said quickly, the fairy now tending to his wounds. "Dont scare me like this!" Caleb grimaced, the fairy now useing her magic to try and heal the young hunter. "Sorry," he grunted, glancing up at Spark and noticing her eyes were damp with tears. "Kid came out of nowhere. Careful with him, he's a wizard and a damn powerful one at that."
"Dont worry," Connor said softly. "We'll take care of it. Spark, take care of my brother." As Connor now stood, he glared at the teenage wizard who had attacked his brother. After nearly losing his father, the thought of nearly losing his brother filled him with rage. As Arion's enchanted armor now covered his body, he now stepped forward with Nat determined to end this threat to his family.
Darren groaned, slowly getting to his feet as he now gazed at the teenagers in front of him. The girl who kicked him was obviously supernatural in nature, her vampiric features on full display. The other one though was a complete mystery. The teenager was now adorned in magical armor and Darren could sense he was determined to fight. Outnumbered, Darren realized he would need his friends help, the teens eyes glowing white as he now teleported his friends to his location.
"What happened," Hannah asked, the teenage Soul Drive disoriented from Darren's spell. "How did we get here?"
"Hannah," Darren exclaimed. "The kits ran into some problems. Gonna need some help getting out of this." Hannah nodded, the monkey gynoid grinning as she now assumed a fighting stance. "Crystal, Misaki," he called. "Get Raiden and Sachiko out of here!"
"We won't leave you alone Darren," Misaki said firmly, the girl now standing by Darren's side. "The kits will be okay," Crystal added. "Whoever these guys are though, we have to stop them!" Darren nodded, the two groups of teens glaring at one another as they prepared to fight.
