"That's not fair they have a robot," Stephanie exclaimed, pointing at the monkey Soul Drive before her. Whoever these people were, they certainly seemed prepared. "Rei I need a portal."
"What," Rei asked in confusion. "Portal me Rei," Stephanie replied. "One that goes to my house. Just trust me." Rei nodded, the biracial teen quickly casting a spell. As a portal now opened, Stephanie pressed a button on her wrist watch, summoning her battle suit to her. As the robotic suit now assembled around her, the teen smirked as she gazed at her opponents. "Okay monkey girl let's dance!"
"Give it up," Connor said. "You're outnumbered." Darren and his friends furrowed their brows as they looked at the five teens. They didn't have time for this and they certainly had no desire to pick a fight with people from the past. "You attack my partner you gotta deal with us," Spark hollered. Darren simply sighed, looking back to Crystal who now stepped forward. A determined look on the pretty teenage girls face.
"What," Spark scoffed. "What are you going do girly? Kick me off the cheer squad or are you too afraid of breaking a nail?" Crystal scowled, glaring at the green haired teen before her. Nothing made her madder than people being dismissive of her because of her looks. Without a second thought Crystal now shrank down into fairy form, darting forward as she rammed into Sparks stomach.
To say Spark was caught by surprise would be an understatement. She hadn't realized the girl was a fairy. Angry, she now shrank down herself, her skin taking on greenish hue as the pair began to fight. All anyone could make out were a green and blue pinpoint of light soaring through the woods colliding with one another.
The fight was on, Nat and Connor facing off against Darren, Misaki charging at Rei as Hannah and Stephanie began to brawl. As they now fought, Darren was surprised by the skill of the two teens he faced. Both attackers were highly skilled, the boys fighting style a fluid Kung fu. The girl though, seemed familiar. Although the girl appeared to be part vampire, her technique seemed familiar. As they fought, Darren flashed back to his sparring sessions with Akira. Was it possible this girl had been trained by a kitsune? Thankfully Darren was able to keep up, his own training and his ring allowing him to hold his two attackers at bay.
Knocking the monkey Soul Drive back, Stephanie now glanced at her friends. Nat and Rei appeared in a even fight with the teenage boy but, Rei was obviously struggling. Although Rei knew magic, she was no fighter. Quickly the other Asian girl overwhelmed her, Rei attempting to retreat only for the girl to knock her to the ground. Quickly, she now activated the suits boosters, rocketing towards Rei's attacker and knocking her out. "You okay Rei," she asked.
"Misaki!"
Stephanie and Rei turned, gasping as Hannah now flipped towards them. The monkey robot moving far quicker than either thought. As Hannah now delivered a knockout blow to Rei, she grasped Stephanie's leg with her tail flinging the teenage girl into a nearby tree.
Stephanie was dazed, her vision blurry as Hannah now stood above her. "You hurt my friend you have to deal with me," Hannah boasted. As the monkey Soul Drive looked to deliver a knockout blow, she was quickly thrown back. Stephanie confused by the shadowy tendril that now swirled around her.
"Stephanie are you okay?"
"Travis," she asked, the girl still dazed from the blow. "What are you doing here?" Travis now held his girlfriend tightly, a look of concern on his face. "I sensed you were in trouble," he said softly. "Are you okay?" Stephanie nodded, grunting in pain as she held her head. As Travis laid her on the ground, he now angrily glared at Hannah, the monkey Soul Drive dusting herself off. "Stay here I'll take care of this."
As Travis now stood, his cloak of living shadow writhed around him. "Nobody hurts my friends," he growled, summoning forth his scythe. "Please," Hannah scoffed. "Your girlfriend knocked my friend out first. You want the same treatment then bring it!"
Travis now darted forward, far faster than Hannah could react. The teens body was covered by his cloak, trailing behind him like a long shadow as he struck Hannah with his scythe.
"Hannah," Darren exclaimed, watching as his best friend now sailed backwards. The force of the attack now caused Hannah to shift into human form. The gynoids metallic skin becoming flesh, her features returning to human proportions as her faux green fur receded into her body. With a yell, Darren's magic lashed out in anger, knocking Nat and Connor back as he sprinted to his friends aid. "You okay?"
"Ugh that hurt," Hannah groaned. "Guy hits like a freight train." Darren breathed a sigh of relief, Hannah appearing only dazed as he glared at her attacker. "No one hurts Hannah," he bellowed, his eyes glowing a brilliant white.
Travis furrowed his brow, his eyes becoming pool's of inky darkness as his cloak swirled around him. "And no one hurts my friends," he threatened. With a primal yell the two teens lunged at one another, katana and scythe clashing as the pair attacked one another. As they locked blades, Darren grimaced. Whoever this Travis person was, he was indeed powerful. The magic and strength he possessed testing Darren's skills. He needed to end this quickly and escape.
Concentrating, Darren began to try and summon the spirits with the Dragons Tongue. If he could summon the previous wielders he could stop Travis and escape with his injured friends. As the teens magic activated, he was surprised by the results.
Tatsu, Lord of the Kitsune, now stood in between Travis and Darren. The celestial kitsune holding back the scythe and katana with his bare hands. Confused the two teens relaxed, curiously staring at the nine tail. "This fight is now over," he said softly.
"Tatsu," Darren asked shocked to see the kitsune alive. Tatsu paused, studying the teen carefully before noticing the blade in his hand. "It appears we have much to discuss," he stated. "Perhaps it is best if you start at the beginning."
