Aaron woke Anna for her watch three hours later. Anna sat and watched the sun come up, occasionally looking over at Aaron as the fourth hour of his transformation passed, and he began to slowly return to his muscled, half-orc male form. Was she imagining it, or did he have less body hair than he usually had in this form? She supposed less body hair would be the easiest change to hide, but she'd have to remember to restrain herself from feeding too much on him until he recovered the remaining masculine energy that he had not yet recovered.
The party rose and prepared themselves for the day. Fortunately no-one commented on the lessening of Aaron's body hair. Perhaps she had been mistaken, or perhaps there just was so little of a change that they hadn't noticed.
"Does everyone remember the plan?" Steph asked as she finished fastening her gauntlets
"Wasn't it just 'jump the first patrol that comes out, then go inside and kill the others'?" Erica asked, yawning
"Those are the basics," said Steph "Whatever dark sorcery is animating these creatures, they will have a limited ability to create more undead as fast as we can kill them. If we act fast, we can eliminate a large amount of their army as we make our way to the commanders. Anna, what kind of magic do you have to work with?"
"I'm pretty much full on both offensive and defensive," she said "That means shielding and battlefield control for the defensive, and mostly fire based attacks for the offense, maybe a couple more exotic abilities if I find any from the people I've taken energy from."
Steph nodded. "Our strategy will involve moving fast, and taking down targets. Will you be able to keep up, or will we move at your pace?"
"I can keep up," said Anna, smiling "I'll have to moderate my pace, in-fact, since you're weighed down by that armour."
"Very well," said Steph "I'd like you in the middle of formation, ready to throw out spells in any direction to protect or attack. Does that sound good to you?"
