Roger didn't enjoy his night as 'Liz'. All the fun seemed to be happening down the other end of the table. Louis was asking serious questions of 'Liz' which Roger really didn't know how to answer. He soon left to talk to other members of the party. Leaving Roger at the mercy of Sonya.
Sonya appeared to be totally self obsessed and seemed certain that she and 'Liz' would become best friends for the duration of the trip. It seemed 'Liz' had no say in this and Sonya already had the next couple of days organised. The real Roger tried to explain that 'Roger' and Maureen, the good looking younger couple down the other end of the table, were friends from home and that 'Liz' was on holiday with them. But Sonya had an answer for everything.
"Don't be silly Liz. They are a couple and threes a crowd. Leave them be. It looks like they are getting on with those Canadians. They will want to do couple things. We are single girls and I intend to enjoy my holiday and I am in need of a wing-man. And that is going to be you. I've already done some research and have a list of nightspots in every town we are staying at. There is meant to be a really good bar just around the corner from here. We'll go there as soon as the couples start to head back to their rooms"
"I don't think I'm up for partying tonight..."
Sonya cut Roger off "Nonsense woman. You look great. That outfit is ideal" Roger immediately regretted that 'Roger' had insisted they change before dinner. He knew he looked great in the green dress he was wearing.
"But I'm not feeling great"
"All the more reason to go out and party! Forget your troubles! We are going to have a great time!"
Roger struggled to get a word in. He was happy when the meal arrived and finally Sonya quit talking to eat.
He didn't initially notice that 'Roger' and Maureen had left the table and not returned. Sonya pointed out to 'Liz' "The couples are disappearing. Grab your bag and lets go!"
